It seems RB is once again on a leading position. Aston seems quite consistent and so does Ferrari.

MB does not look competitive.

As silence continues on the progress of Red Bull's weeks-long probe into allegations made against Horner by a female employee, Ford has upped the ante in urging the energy drinks company to get on with matters.
According to a report by the Associated Press, Ford CEO Jim Farley has written to Red Bull making it clear the brand is not happy with the lack of progress over a matter that it thinks needs to be taken very seriously.
“We are likewise frustrated by the lack of full transparency surrounding this matter with us, your corporate partners, and look forward to receiving a complete account of all findings.”
Farley demanded that Red Bull give “prompt and serious attention” to the matter.

That is the part I feel for Sainz. He is wily and better suited for Ferrari's politics. Sainz would proactively take charge and strategize for Ferrari and they needed that and it resulted in at least 2 wins for him in last 2 years. Unlike Leclerc, who just reactively complains after Ferrari f#cks up, but never takes charge. Hamilton is pretty much the same - he either questions in an half assed way or complains after.

If Ferrari makes a dominant car, all this is moot, but if they are in a knife fight for the championship, I see the the potential for a lot of heartbreak.
You have to keep in mind, how sport teams from located at the Mediterranean Sea work at all. It is not always...... rational.

But here is the thing about Sainz JR, he was always considered to be lower standing driver in contrast to Ferrari´s youth product Leclerc, who managed to win the backing of the corporate, team and the fans.

This will blow up. There has been zero transparency. As I understand it, the independent barrister conducted the investigation and then presented their findings to the Red Bull board. Those findings have not been made public, in which case the interpretation of the evidence and final decision is entirely in the hands of the Red Bull board, and if the majority shareholder, the Thai-based family, want Horner to stay irrespective of what's happened, that's what will happen. It was rumoured that this was what was delaying matters; a difference in opinion between the Austrians (49%) and the Thais (51%). The press release from Red Bull suggests an attempt to shut all this down and hopefully move on, using the excuse of "privacy", but the red herring of having an independent barrister alluding to a fair process is nonsense.

Red Bull are not above the law, so it's possible that the accuser has redress with the courts should she feel it necessary.

It would appear that the accuser is not interested in redress in the courts.

Trial by media it is.

Right. I'm just popping to the shops to get the popcorn.

However, is there evidence that it's the accuser who's sent this evidence, or is it someone from within Red Bull who wants Horner gone?

I don't think it will be that spicy.

Posting it for free and eschewing the rights UK employment law grants completely means it might not have even been strong enough to win in court (which would make it pretty ****ing weak), or it means the payout the accuser was likely to get wasn't enough (in the order of 1 or 2 years pay at best), or it seems it wasn't explosive enough to sell as an exclusive to the tabloids.

Quite possibly serious enough to make Christian look like a knob, but Christian already does that.. soooo... <shrug emoji>

Well, the first tranche has already appeared on Twitter, but I'm not going to post it here.

My first thoughts are Christian Horner seems incredibly dull.

Lol What a shit show, hope it leaks and rb get forced to boot him

We were singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol′ boys were drinkin′ whiskey and rye
Singin', "This′ll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die
Good thing Horny Horner died on a 29th February, so he is only dying every 4 years.
