I’m sorry but that front end looks hideous.
All these new EQ models look like eggs with weird proportions. Even makes the IX look pretty

I guess our opinion differ but a egg yes the sedan I'll agree egg shape but not this this does not have egg shape for sure...

And you comparing the IX to this the IX is ugly

What do we think?
I think they both look like a van,(which is not a good thing and I don’t understand why automakers make their electric SUV’s look like that),
but if I had to choose one I would definitely go with the IX.
And we also gotta keep in mind that the Maybach SUV is still a concept,so the proportions will be slightly different than what we’re seeing.

I don't think the proportions and side profile will change much on the maybach the side windows will defiantly change ..I dont like the 2 tone ..

To me I don't see the Maybach concept looking like a van.

While it's not terrible looking, I just get MPV vibes from this. I think I'd be fine if that's how it looks on a Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, but on a Maybach, it's a been underwhelming. EV or not, I'd expect it to have a bit more definition with some of its lines, but I am sure aero has to be taken to its utmost consideration. Having it two-tone helps break up some of the mass, I do wonder if the looks improve, get worse or stay the same in single tone.

I was expecting something fare more upscale and bigger than this. This looks to be the size of a GLE Coupe or something similar. What about passenger space in the back, like headroom? Not impressed at all. Where is the SUV with the sedan trunk from a few years ago? That is what they should be making.

I just saw what looks like a CGI video of the HyperSreen for the EQS SUV Maybach on Gorden Wagner's Instagram looking like 1 screen instead of 3 . If they get that right, it going to be damn
hyperscreen.webp
cool

Woukd be lovely but we not see that not so soon…

The EQG, EQE and then the EQS Maybach design wise for me. This "Maybach" concept is just nothing. An anonymous blob of nothing. It's neither futuristic sleek or old-school grand. It's just nothing, totally unimaginative. Even the EQ sedans (while not pretty) are more arresting (good or bad) to look at, particularly the EQE.

These EVs are making me retch. I never thought I’d get to the point of being disinterested in cars, but I feel like I may need a new hobby within the next 5 years.. these reproducing bubble shaped anonymous blobs keep me up at night

Oh No….Did you not see the spy shots for the EQS SUV that were posted months ago? It’s clearly the same size as the concept.

I’m sure a much larger one might be done in the future unless they do a Maybach version of the EQG.

A more acceptable and "world" size to sell more in Europe?

Prefer the Benz but do not like the Maybach tinnef. It looks like the automotive version of a drag queen. The "standard" M-B EQS SUV should be more appealing.

I think problem is the whole front end.
It should be more upright to give the car the presence it needs to have. It looks too smooth and low

Mercedes-Maybach

In November 2014, Daimler announced the revival of the Maybach name as a sub-brand of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222), positioned as an upscale version akin to the more sporty Mercedes-AMG sub-brand.
