Is this a PS or can you get it without the black bar???

Real… but a post-delivery modification at customer request. A tasteful one at that, the design makes a lot more “sense” with the visual cohesion. I’m sure more examples will follow.

With how hit-of-miss the Ferrari lineup is right now, they got the design of the F80 mostly right. The design will at minimum age better with time like it’s predecessors.

I'm not a fan tbh.... it looks very generic without the visor since the headlights are basic inelegant rectangles that were designed for the visor.

At the same time.. the visor to me looks too thick and square and awkward... the 12C is the only one that pulls off the visor look IMO

The owner has stated on FerrariChat that this wasn’t done post delivery and it was specced like this from factory.

Nice of Ferrari to agree to the request. It’s also a simple request to reverse by either requesting the original part in black or applying black colour changing ppf to the red part.

Imagine having hundreds of millions of Dollars, have bought like 30 new Ferraris, and then come specs time for your F80 they say "NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT" when you want the black bar deleted.

LOL the thought alone is CA-RAZIE

"No you can't do that" is not a phrase these people take lightly. Best case scenario if you tell 'em that is a meeting in court.

oh brother.

Because everyone who’s hyper successful operates the same. Quite a homogenous group, that one…..

My successful friends are mostly very reasonable people. Some have their moments, but zero would expect Ferrari to do something unreasonable.

There's nothing unreasonable about wanting a different color.

On a certain level they get homogenous indeed. Getting exactly what they want is one of those treats.

Ferrari chat is something else: "Congratulations on being allowed to paint the black bits" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
You can't make this shit up even if you wanted.

I think the visor part on the 849 Testarossa looks good and gives some 308/512bb vibes. The problem is the shape of the headlights, specially the DRL, and the front winglets.

One minute edit, removing those elements:

(Still, I should have reduced front lip to better match, but you get the idea)

I thought this was impossible according to the designer at Ferrari? 😅

So this whole theory of not being able to order without that bar is out of the window as per right now.

It's Ferrari, as with any other top level car manufacturer worth it's salt, just because something's not on the options list, doesn't mean they won't do it for a price.
