F40 Ferrari F40 (1987 ~ 1992)

The Ferrari F40 (Type F120) is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car with styling by Pininfarina. Production: 1987-1996. Predecessor: Ferrari 288 GTO. Successor: Ferrari F50.
The F40 in my opinion is probably one of the finest Ferraris ever built. Its just so breathtaking in the way it looks and the way it drives

I always find it amusing that the F40 is considered one of the most iconic Ferrari, and yet, for a company that's noted for their legendary atmospheric V12s, this is powered by a turbo V8.

I still remember being 7 and my family and I were visiting London, and my mouth was left agape by an F40 in the Mayfair district. That and the Countach made all the other Esprits and 348s that were buzzing about look common.

How nice to see it without the usual red, I understand that Ferrari prohibited changing the color at that time.
With the headlights closed and more current wheels (barely larger), thanks to that painting with that wonderful color, it is a totally modern and current car.
I know that changing the wheels of a classic like this is a sacrilege but since they repainted it ...........

Good catch, it is very good to see it in a real and extremely beautiful environment and not always on a track, a garage, or with the face of shemeeee ruining the photo

The incredible story of a Ferrari of Saddam Hussein's son who survived the dictator's fury

It is an F40 that had been abandoned in Iraq and was in terrible condition. It was recovered and sold to a Saudi collector at a million dollar price

With no precision on the date but with a gloating drawn on his face that must be credible to the story, Saddam Hussein told American guards who were guarding him an episode with which he decided to punish his oldest son, Uday, after he massacred a group of people after a discussion at a party. "I was so angry with him that I ended up burning all the cars," said the bloody dictator, according to the account reconstructed years after his execution. But there was at least one model of the many super sports cars that Hussein's firstborn had who was saved from the stake. And that car is currently driving the opulent streets and routes of Saudi Arabia.

Good, anecdotal and entertaining reading of this finding.
