Right now in the moment, I'll take the Ferrari. Thing is anyone who can buy either of these cars doesn't have to choose. Solution as always with this type of question is to buy both.

We know the Aventador is fantastic, but we don't know much (nothing) about the Ferrari, yet.

So at the moment, Lamborghini for me.

We also know that if history repeats itself, this Ferrari will be better. The layout alone is enough. RWD and engine in the front is the perfect combo, imo.

VAG vs Ferrari...not a hard choice ;)
And in looks too. That F12 looks sick.

So at the moment the Ferrari for me. It's pretty obvious this will be a better car. I don't need any reviews for that :D

The Lambo looks more aggressive and brutish for sure but the Ferrari looks more special.:)

It is the typical Ferrari vs Lamborghini proposition - the Lambo more wild and wedgy but also more childish, while the Ferrari is more sensual. But one area where the Ferrari KOs the Lambo is the interior.

The Ferrari's interior is gorgeous, reminds me of some Classic/Future type deal done with the utmost taste in that regard.

However, I'm just not sold on Ferrari's new styling language. The car looks like a cartoon, the door indentations will age and tire rapidly, remind me of a Hyundai's fussy sheetmetal carvings.

The Lambo looks like how a Lambo should look. From the Diablo, to the Murci, to the Aventador, perfect evolutions of that distinct look.

I'm a Ferrari guy for life, if even just for them being my ultimate childhood dream and those cars still resonating so highly to me, but the Lambo is what I'd buy if someone put a few hundred grand in my hands right now and said: "Choose one, and buy it".

I'd say the opposite. I can't tell Ferrari interiors apart, they all look the same these days. In the end, there are no losers. It's a classic brunette vs blond battle. My pick is the Ferrari purely because of its superior engine.

The rear on the Ferrari could have been more restrained.

My biggest complaint with the Ferrari is it`s godzilla looking front end with those goofy headlights. The profile and rear end is pretty awesome though imo.
I like the Lambo to... when it comes to engineering and attention to detail I`d give it to the Ferrari. It`s got to be the better car for the money by a long shot compared to the Lambo!

I have never been a fan of Ferraris. To me, most of them have been penis-enlargments for small guys with money hehe.
And Lambo for me have always meant maculine things. Diablo, Miura, Murcielago... wow.

But I have to say I love the new F12... It's really one hell of a car, with a agressive design.
But still, look at that Aventador...

My pick will be Aventador, by a close margin.

Can't wait for many fights between these two!

That displeases you about it, too extrovert, flamboyant, Italian?

Not at all, the Lambo is much more extrovert and i have nothing to say about it. The Ferrari rear is a bit caricatural, cartoonish, the graphic theme works on paper better than it does in real life.

The more reserved Ferrari is more my style, and I generally prefer a front-engined layout. The F12 seems to almost have a pontoon-fender effect that nicely recalls the '57 Testa Rossa. Not sold on that cut line down and then up the side; its seems almost saggy-like. Nor the rear styling detail that hangs down (reminds me of a certain aspect of female anatomy :D). It has a strange window line when looking directly at the rear, as if there's too much metal near the top of the pillars. Almost like it may have been designed with the separate C-pillar buttresses like on the 599. Speaking of which, anyone know why those haven't returned? That was something that definitely made the 599 stand out and it's supposed to be fully functional.
Interior-wise, I'd give the nod to the F12. Ferrari's design language has been a bit stale while the Aventador looks needlessly fussy and cheap in some parts.

Given just how bad the LP700 destroyed the GTO when Quattoroute tested them, I would imagine the F12 would have its hands full with the LP700 around a track. In a straight line its probably a nod to the lambo from a dig and to the ferrari from a roll.

I certainly cant nail the F12 for its looks. It looks great! But there has been no modern ferrari except the Enzo that has made my jaw drop. The F12 is no exception. Having just seen the Aventador in person I can say its a jaw dropping car...and that was on a autoshow floor, not even on the road. From every angle it looks fantastic. The only thing more jaw dropping at the autoshow was the Zonda R.

Rumor has it that Geneva 2012, we will see the LP700 roadster! Its going to look amazing.

Wouldn't the Lambo being owned by VAG make it much more trustworthy and reliable vehicle (read: No fires)? I know Ferrari's were never known for anything remotely resembling reliability-quality (possibly part of its very charm).

In a funny way, considering how much less "normal" the Lambo looks, I would assume it would give an owner many more trouble free miles.

I think a lot of times people always go with the newer car. Might have a lot to do with the WOW factor. It's still a hard decision. Even though the excitement for the Aventador might have gone, it still is amazing to look at...Not to mention the performance is still remarkable.
