612 Scaglietti [2004-2011] Ferrari 612 Scaglietti on fire.

The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (Type F137) is an executive 2+2 coupé grand tourer made by Ferrari between 2004 and 2011. It was designed to replace the smaller 456; its larger size makes it a true 4-seater with adequate space in the rear seats for adults.
That's pretty spectacular. Also, the car did not seem to be involved in an accident. Does anyone speak Italian and can find out the cause of the fire?

The car caught fire after a problem in transmision (whatever that means). It belongs to a Romanian football player.

Looks like the fire found the gas tank eventually (I can't imagine anything else exploding that much).

Probobly not. I remember the dude who sued Ferrari because his F430 didn't reach the claimed top speed:D

Did he win? If it was in the US he probably is richer than Schumacher now...

I don't think I ever got to know the whole story but Ferrari probobly just highlightened the fine print saying that the cars speed may not always be as fast as the manufacturer claims it is.

Actually, it was in Germany and the car was 360 Challenge Stradale...The guy was disappointed because car went only 280 km/h and Ferrari said it's going 300 +. I don't know if he won though..
