I hate them all, but from this list I guess it is a tie between Q7 and Urus. You forgot to add the Cullinan though.

The list of SUV cars these days is absolutely mindblowing isn't it?
Because you could easily make that list twice as long if you included other premium SUV cars like the X3, X4, GLC, GLC coupe, Q5, RR CUllinan and Porsche Macan.

...and to think we basically only had the Range, ML and X5 back in the '90s

I think the new X5 is the nicest of them all , but I can’t blame anyone for picking the G wagon it’s one of MB’s best offerings.

Right now I say the new Touareg. Best looking SUV inside and out for my liking. First time I pick a VW over any of its premium contenders.

Disregarding the G-wagen, I think the new X5 is the best overall package. The interior seems to rival the XC90 and seems only to be bested by the Range Rover and Bentayga. It has a wide-range with regards to powertrains available. Exterior design seems to be very good, though I still find some elements in the front need to be seen in person. The major qualm I'd have with the X5 is that preceding gens' reputation for reliability. Generally though, this whole segment leaves me apathetic.

One plus the G-wagen has though is something @sako97 alluded to in his post upon seeing the Cully in person. I think driving the G-wagen provides a nice ice-breaker of sorts if you want to strike up a conversation with someone who's a member of the Yoga-Pants Brigade. You'd want to use whatever arrow is in your quiver.
