Mr Robert
Kraftwagen König
In the latest issue of EVO, the guys take the upgrades one step further.
This time it is the suspension kit that gets installed and the initial impressions seemed to be very good. The car behaved much better; less fuzzy, more poised - a more positive drive.
The next step was to take the car to the West circuit of Bedford for some confirmation. The result? The same car in standard guise managed 1:28.7 and with the Performance suspension it did 1:29.4... no, that is correct.
They have now spent £5,000 on the car (£ 2,500 for the suspension and the same for the new Performance wheels with new run-flats) and the lap times have not improved. The new tyres were of a different brand (Dunlop SP Sport) than those used the first time (Bridgestone RE050).
They do, however, seem quite happy with how the car behaves and the next steps are the power increase and trackday tyres.
