Introduced by the French racecar driver and auctioneer Herve Poulain, the idea behind BMW Art Cars is very simple: Have a famous artist use a car as a canvas. The first example came in 1975 and it was a BMW 3.0 CSL painted by Alexander Calder and the last, a M3 GT2 from Jeff Koons, in 2010. Between 1975 and 2010 many famous artists, including Andy Warhol, Frank Stella and Robert Rauschenberg showed us their skills on BMW sheet metal. In the above video, EVO's Henry Catchpole takes a look at the Art Car collection. Don't miss it!
