X5 E70 BMW X5 Facelift Thread (Spy pics & info)

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

So you want to say that because you don't officially work on the X5 LCi, means you don't know exactly when it will be launched, is that what you mean? If so, would you please find the information for us like you did on the 3er LCi? I read from another forum that the X5 LCi press release will come next month, maybe after the 3er, is that true? Thanx anyway!

As Scott said, They did not take press release pics for US market and that's probably what causing the delay. :D Now they are busy taking pics for US market. Press release should come after 3er coupe LCI press release and debut at NY auto show. Bother Scott too much and he will come looking for you. :D

Hahahahaha.. I guess you're right. :D We have to be patient coz this is not too long anymore.. Thanx anyway! :D

I am not ignoring your questions. If you want to ask me anything specific then PM me. I do not spend all day looking through threads.

I'm not the one asking questions. I can wait and don't have this desire to know things "yesterday". But these questions were in a thread you were active in, so the "looking through threads" doesn't wash with me. Also, surely answering many PM's and repeating yourself to lots of different people is more time consuming than making one post?

Of course, you're quite within your rights to post when you want and choose to answer questions when you want, but this is a fan forum and discussion board, so where as you treat it as somewhere you can just post things which benefit BMW marketing (for free!), other people view it as a place in which to engage in active discussion.

Hmm...

Why two different output versions for X5 xDrive30d (one with 155 kW and other with the standard 180 kW)?

I guess 211HP version of 30d is meant exclusively for fleet buyers only ...

:t-cheers:

Because of tax reasons, in some countries 155KW or 211hp is a trigger for higher taxes (for example registration taxes in Belgium increase from 2.500 euro to 5.000 euro). That's why they offer the two versions over here. Performance level is nearly the same, they just adapt the software settings.

It´s got some plastic parts, so maybe not the whole body will be painted.

Seems like we still have black plastic bumpers. Notice the front center where the camouflage is torn on both sides. The fog lights appear to be missing. :t-hands:

Angular tail pipes in 2nd pic. Is this the "35is" version?
