Comparing times or speed yardsticks, the E63 S is 20km/h ahead of the M6 from rest to 240km/h and then 15km/h ahead from then till 300km/h.

So what that means the same time the M6 hits 200km/h the E63 is already doing 220km/h.

Looks like the E63 picks up 10km/h almost instantly off the line, the M6 speedo vibrates somewhere around 40-50 where the E63 pulls out the rest of the margin. Clearly off the line AWD will have the advantage, but I think the M6 shifted around 40-50 and tried to spin up its rear wheels there too allowing AWD traction to pull out a further advantage - the M6 isn't known for having stunning traction.

Also, different stretches of road, on different days?

... also 5km/h discrepancy between the E63 speedo and his GPS App at Vmax?


So, what did we learn here? AWD is likely to be faster than RWD in a drag race... who'd a thunk it!

There is no doubt the E63 S is faster than an M6 competition pack, but this thread here sure as hell doesn't prove that.
