E63 ///amg

I'm a bit interested how the CLK63 stacks up to the M6 since they were using the M6 as a base to judge it when the CLK63 was under testing.

Oh yeah, thats what I was thinking!! Its already is 6% more powerful which MB ment to do I believe. Now it`s introduced with ABC! We could be in for a big shock!! Btw I came across the factory 0-100km/h time for the CLK63.
It`s 4.6 seconds. I believe thats a match for the M6.

No no Just Me, I don't have a problem with what you're saying. I was just under the impression that since the standard 2002 E-class airmatic had adaptive dampening, surely the airmatic equipped E55 also had this adaptive dampening? Now with the E63 the adaptive dampening has again been upgraded which is why its been mentioned in the press release?

Hopefully a more knowledgeable MB fan can tell us if the airmatic system fitted to the E55 did in fact have adaptive dampening? :) I don't understand why it wouldn't have it when the standard system did. :t-hands:

I have to admit that this car is going to be a definite match for the M5...It certainly looks the part. Look at the interior and the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Sweet! I cant wait for the comparos on this baby!

From Rsportscars.com (very reliable)

"The AMG sports suspension based on the semi-active air suspension system AIRMATIC DC includes the Adaptive Damping System ADS II and allows the driver to choose between more comfortable or very sporty handling characteristics. The shock absorbers and springs instantly adapt to the current driving situation, but can also be manually modified in three stages at the touch of a button. The 8.5 and 9.0-inch wide, titanium grey, high-sheen 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a new five-spoke design are fitted with wide-base tires in size 245/40 and 265/35"

I take it you meant the CLK63, not the CLS63? Yes I see where they say the CLK63 has ABC, I still can't believe it!
