So you could go home, but wouldn't be allowed back in or something @Rolf? I don't understand.....

Either way, just terrible to hear you haven't seen your children in two years. This is absolutely unacceptable! WTFFFF!!!

At 68 years of age, I can rightfully surmise that I've been around "Life's Block" and have witnessed-as well as personally experienced-, along with the beautiful and marvelous, some genuinely troubling, often sad and on occasion devastating shit. But in the context of global as well as domestic current events and issues, I cannot recall a more tumultuous, disturbing time than the one we are living in today. It's becoming increasingly difficult to put on a brave face. So much seems to be so....irreversibly dysfunctional.

Luckily my positivity gets me through

Good for you (y)(y)!

...and as heavy as the shit that's going down nowadays is, a good occasional chuckle (especially about onesself) can chase those ol' blues away. Well-performed sociopolitical satire does the trick for me. It can be quite the beneficial elixir. I know-because I need my regular doseages in order to relieve my "angry attacks" and suppress the urge to just punch some people in the face..

I haven't seen my kids for 2 years due to this f#cken Virus, I planned to travel to South Africa next week and this damn new variant has made Saudi Arabia put a travel ban from South Africa. It just won't f&cken end. Every 6 months after the world gets vaccinated a new more deadly variant appears.

That's terrible, Rolf. I hope you get to see them soon. And I agree, it seems that every six months or so, a new deadlier variant shows up, right when everybody is already vaccinated. It's getting really f#cking annoying!

Are ye ready for a 4th one kids?

If you were vaccinated against smallpox when you were a lot younger? Then you are immunised for Monkeypox.

Yes, I was vaccinated against smallpox when I was a child. It's just get worried when I see news of a new viral outbreak, because I already lost my father to COVID.

Hilarious - tragic for those who fell for it:

The modern Aussie "doctor". Not exactly Dr Carl from Neighbours - 'leave me alone'.

Nope, that was his receptionist, Sarah.
Nah, it was Beth.

Okay, this is weird sh1t, it turns out that you are right, but I cast iron remember it as Beth. This is what happens when you watch 12 Monkeys series. Realities have changed.
