CLK-Class (C209) CLK63 to eat M6????

I think the CLK63 will really be a surprise performer!!

I just checked the performance stats of the CLK55, remember the CLK55
used 367hp and 376lb-ft of torque with the 5-Speed tranny.
It`s 0-60 time was *4.7sec. 0-100 in 11.3sec. *Car&Driver.

Now just think the CLK63 adds 114 more hp (481hp) and 89more lb-ft of torque! (465lb-ft) combine that to the AMG modified G7 and you might have a 0-60 time of 4.1seconds!! 0-100mph might be 9.0seconds flat!
It just might be faster than the M6!

M6 has a 0-60 time of 4.5sec. 0-100mph on 9.7sec.

Remember the CLK63 is 6% more powerful than the BMW M6!

This is Sportauto times:
M5: 0-100km/h in 4.5 sec, 0-200km/h in 13,8 sec
SL55: 0-100km/h in 4.3 sec, 0-200km/h in 13,8 sec
CL65: 0-100km/h in 4.8 sec, 0-200km/h in 13,8 sec

M6: 0-100km/h in 4.2 sec, 0-200km/h in 12,8 sec
SL65: 0-100km/h in 4.3 sec, 0-200km/h in 13,1 sec

It all depend on which carmag you take the numbers from. We can guess forever but we will first know when we see the CLK63 being tested. MB fans think MB CLK63 is faster car and BMW fans think M6 is a faster car. Same old same old

0-60mph 3.8sec. vs./ 0-60mph4.4sec
0-100mph 8.5sec. vs./ 0-100mph. 10.2sec.

60-0 brakes 115ft/ 114ft


Not bad for the CL65!

Btw those were my estimated numbers for the CLK63.

Hmmm, to me thats a big mathmatical problem because I don`t do the math base off that speed time.

I can`t tell you this, I believe the CLK63`s performance numbers will match the CLS55`s up to 100mph and might better it after 100mph due to the new 7-speed.

Id say in the high 12s (12.6,12.8)

BTW , the CLK 63 will beat the CLS55 all the way , where does this beating change ? Against the CLS 63 /

You guys cannot underestimate the new 6.3 AMG , the engine is completely AMG , and most of its tech comes originally from AMG's DTM garage and knowledge , the engine and the modified 7gtronic will give you Z06 performance , I am very sure about what Im saying because the car has power at every single point from 0-200mph .

lOl! I`m going to agree with AMG UNIT. The CLK63 might be even faster than the CLS55, if so that cars`going to be a blast!! 0-200km/h Im guessing in the
12.6sec. range. I believe it will keep up with the M6, if not the overall numbers should be no less than a 0.3rds difference.

Being a little bit more powerful, it will be the lighter car.

All the 63 AMG's will be amazing automobiles but only time will tell how they compete with the modern M cars. All this guessing is merely speculation. Who knows.

compared to it`s bigger brothers. It will be the lighter car but I still think it will be a hair slower.

Take note, the M156 unit is 55lbs lighter than the Kompressor V8s and about 88lbs. lighter than the V10 in the M5
Another big advantage for the 63 models.

Well, I`m trying to be reasonable!
I`ve read quit a few magazine tests where the CLS55 has done 0-100mph in
between 9.8sec to 10.1sec. I believe you can shave 0.5sec off that time
for the CLS63 model. Maby I`m being too conservtive like MB does with speed time. I don`t believe it will be a full second faster.

Am I the only one who thinks we're hyping this car up to be something it's not? Those performance figures are as a fast as a F430.
