Congratulations mate! This is an awsome colour combination, and I haven't seen it on the road yet, so it is still unique. Is that Interlagos blue?

I think colour is the lest of your worries, she will love the 335i Convert no matter what colour the car is.

What is the final spec of your order? I thought all 3 series coupe comes with i-drive as standard in Australia.

:usa7uh:

I'm ordering it tomorrow most likely - reading what I have here you are correct the Nav and iDrive are standard which is good... :eusa_danc

I'm still hodgy podgy on the options to get... she loves the active cruise control on my car so I will get her that and seat heaters because if I ever drive it work they are good at 4.30 in the morning... I'm thinking of going with an individual interior (I have time to wait b4 her bday) so i can get the better leather interior - other then that still quite undecided... your thoughts???

Today was a very good day for me... my car is now paid in full by the hospital as i get a company car and they allowed me to transfer the 5 series over :D:D:D:D SO i can afford to option it out now as i have the extra money I save from paying for my car??? So don't be shy hit me with any ideas for the car???

:D

Yes, it's Interlagos Blue and please make the interior beige/black piano wood and voila, mate, that's the best combo you can get with this color! She'll love it!:usa7uh:

:t-cheers:
Just wondering if you have any images of that interior tycoon??? Many thnaks in advance if you do

M3 time :D It will probably be ready for her next bday.

What are your current choices for the interior combination? I will go with Tycoon's suggestion, maybe have a 2 tone interior, beige and black leather interior with piano wood. Is ambient lighting standard?

One more thing, make sure your salesman/dealer knows it is a surprise for your wife, and make sure they remember it. The last thing you know is for them to send you a Christmas card saying "Merry Christmas, your 335i wont' be long"

Thank you so very much monster... i saw these awhile ago and forget about them... I absolutely love them and i no she will

Thanks alot mate

PS. yes the dealer knows because that exact thing happened to a guy I work with and he was extremely peeved for days haha

pps. Thanks tyc... I love that orange interior - would be very one of a kind around here... do you think black exterior with that???

ppps.. dam you tyc i nearly had the wheels decided on until you showed me them grrrr hahaha... are they avail in aust??? I owe you some karma after i spread it around :D

No! The above blue color in the pic you posted!

Lol, they're BMW Performance parts and are they available down there i don't know, you have to ask your dealer about it. Should be available i think.

Those are at the moment best BMW wheels if you ask me...

:t-cheers:

I think they might upset the ride to much on Australian crappy roads - I'm going to use the individual program for the interior - I actually would like to see if its possible at all to change all the black plastic surrounding all the buttons and climate control knobs into alumimium so the interior is not to different to my 5er... I think that would look great!!! or even change it to paino black with that orange interior.... that would look great aswell

Could that be possible guys??? I'll speak to my dealer tomorrow

Knobs, climate controls all in alu? I've never seen anything like that, but i don't think it's impossible... Individual can do miracles to your car you know. I only think you'll have to wait longer for the car if you want additional Individual parts.

:t-cheers:

Not all the buttons... just the surrounding black plastic... do you get what i mean?... Like in that individual images you posted (thanks) with the white interior... See how they change the plastic to white on the dash and leave the black knobs and buttons... I want to leave the buttons but change the big plastic surrounds to aluminium

Anybody get what I mean yet haha???

You will have to bring in the photos and show your salesman, I am sure they will get them for you, and give you a big smile cause they know they can charge you heaps.

Those wheels are very nice indeed, how about those 19inches from the M3?

I got what you mean, I don't think it is possible, but you can look around for aftermarket parts

That comes with the leather color...;) Leather color is deciding factor.

I think I'll just have a good look with the salesmen tomorrow - they are very good with me which is lucky... i think once they know your going to buy they would move a mountain for you...

I just don't like the 3er interior that much... I'm going to go sit inside the new 650i coupe they have at the dealer... If I love it just that much more then maybe I will get a 6 Series... Getting a sedan for yourself is much easier then a car for a women jeeeez

I also think the ger has a larger boot etc... cept maybe rear leg room but thats what the 5er is for... I keep going backsward and foreword... and it;s all because of the interior... I will by tomorrow but and I will take pictures at the dealership so we can decide :D

Thanks guys really appreciate it... I get tomorrow off because we had a lengthy 11 hrs operation today... I'm going to go sleep for 12 hrs :D:D:D

All have a good evening, morning, afternoon where ever you are :usa7uh:

Wish I can come with you and join in the fun ! You work hard for it, so enjoy and have fun.

Audi make good interiors!!!!

Why not a Mercedes Benz CL - I'd be guessing that you can afford it as a surgeon... great looks and a brilliant interior??? yeh no maybe???

A 650i is in the same class anyway so why not a CL - i'd much prefer that to the 6er... Up to you but there is my 2 cents worth

:usa7uh:

God, 11 hour operation.. do you get tired or bored and or restless just standing??? I would struggle to go 3 hrs of constant accounting without a break of some sort... WHat sort of operation if you dont mind me asking??? I love watching RPA on channel 9!!!!

11 hours is a long operation... Most are normally 5-8 which seems long but time flies by because I'm always busy doing something. We do take breaks and listen to music and talk about all sorts of different things with the doctors and nurses in the OR. It takes alot of time to get use to operating ie. the concetrating for long periods and standing perfectly still when looking into the operating microscope. We sit down most of the time now during brain operations but spinal op's often involve standing for long periods of time. Obviously I have to do alot of core strength stability exercise and cardio because unfit surgeons make mistakes I am told atleast once a week.

The operation we preformed was removing a very nasty and highly malignant Medulloblastoma. The tumor was very tricky and took quite along time to completely resect without damaging the surrounding tissue... It's a very hands on operation that requires an amazing amount of technology in the form of the operating microscope, our guidance systems and operating scanners to make sure we only remove tumor tissue and not one cell of normal brain. THis is a very damgerous part of the body to operate in and personally one of my favourites. I love the difficult, high pressure operations.

My meeting at the dealership is at 11 so I had better go get ready....

:t-cheers:

You are still getting the convertible, right? Or have you changed to the 6er?

The 6er convertible.....now, that is one nice car:usa7uh: In Black, w/ the saddle brown interior.
