Hhaha yes well I have alot more spare time at the moment as im finished my registrar training so I'm now doing fill in work around brisbane until the 8th on January when I wont be on anywhere near as much... I also find myself log on and posting here when im reading my journals and writing all my case studies... hopefully my work has suffered for it :|

Monster - yes i love black and that will go grandly with that interior and I was thinking these wheels...

Thanks guys :D It's now settled... I think she will absolutely love it and I'll enjoy driving it work every now and again

I just had a quick look of the option lists and I can't believe they charge you for little things like high gloss shadown line. Is that the chrome trim below the window, or high gloss black trim?

Another must have option is the M-sport steering wheel. What is the actual difference between this and the standard one? I haven't seen the standard steering wheel before.

hmmm the space grey one in that pic i posted looks great... Its a toss up between black and space grey...... Thanks for pics and your time and effort monster, greatly appreciated :usa7uh:

The M steering wheels is exactly the same as the one of the M6 i believe and the standard one if the same as on my 530i... Both nice wheels and I'm just thinking the M wheel might be abit to big for her???

Those M wheels are very chunky, maybe it is too big for your wife. As for the colour, I prefer black, it looks more menacing. Where is Car Diva?? She has a black 645i convert, it is good to get her opinion as well.

Photos of Space Grey, you probably have seen them before.

Warren Buffet's daughter, Suzie, drives one of these bad boys. It's white though, beige/brown interior. Can spot it a mile away whenever I see it around town.

Sounds like a great looking car!! Enjoy your stay in New York - and congratulations on the new purchase! :usa7uh:

Congratulations mate, I saw a space-grey M6 in the city a few days ago and that looks very nice, and I saw a black 645i convert in the city last night and man that V8 sound is very addictive, I would imagine the 650i will sound even better. Can't wait for photos and your reviews.

Congrats:D
Did you decide on the 6er, sorry I read the first 4 pages then skipped to the last so im not quite up to date. I have a new love for grey cars they have a certain style to them that i like.

Final specification due on Friday before my baby is built...

So far I have:
- Space Grey
- Beige interior / or moronish individual interior
- 19 inch wheels
- Active cruise control with stop and go
- Individual sound option
- Wood trim for either interior option
- Sports steering wheel with padle shift and new fancy gear box

Anything I have missed??? Agree with my choice monster?

You got everything there on the list :usa7uh: I noticed the "high gloss shadowline" on the option list. What exactly is it, is it a chrome trim or high gloss black trim?

Have you decided between the beige or the individual interior ?

I believe it is black gloss trim.

The individual interior costs 20k all up for everything I would do using individual. Can't justify that at all so I think Beige interior it is. I saw a black Coupe today and it was amazing. I'm starting to think I don't want two cars the same colour.

The blue also looks amazing on the convertable. So much ofr having the decision soughted out lol...

Didn't know the individual interior is this expensive !

:D Is your wife like this when it comes to cloths shopping, or is she more decisive?

I saw a black 650i convertible on the weekend with the beige interior, it looks very very attractive, but the down side of black is it shows up everything, from dust to tiny swirl marks, and especially those swirl marks, they really distract from the overall look of the car under the sun. If you have time to keep the paint in prefect condition all the time, then go for black if you don't want to have 2 cars with the same colour.

The majority of 6 series I have seen are in black, so if you want something different, go for the blue, I haven't seen a blue one yet, you got a photo?

Me either. Well worth it if you can afford it but I don't see to take the price over the threshold that the company will pay.

No. One of her friends is getting married in a month. There goes a year salary on the clothing she will have to get for that occasion. And of course none of my clothing will be good enough so she will make me buy all new clothes. I normally just get a new tie and she notices the difference.

Had a black car once. Was always dirty. Cross black off the list.

Oh, I forgot about the photos of the blue 6 convertible you took from the show, and I forgot BMW introduce the new metallic blue for the facelift version.

I am sold on this blue as well, it will look pretty much perfect with the beige interior.

Have you decided on your choice of wheels or you are still thinking about them?

Do you like the wheels on those pictures? I think they match perfectly. Or there are these wheels which I like.

That entire combination looks very nice but I think the blue will look better. In fact I know it will!
