Re: EVO Magazine - Bugatti Veyron

This is the troubling part (from Wikipedia):

It also consumes more fuel than any other production car, using 40.4 L/100 km (4.82 mpg) in city driving and 24.1 L/100 km (10 mpg) in combined cycle. At full-throttle, it uses more than 125 L/100 km (2.1 mpg)—at full throttle, the Veyron would empty its 100 L fuel tank in just 12.5 minutes.

:eek2:

It's not as bad as i thought, the Viper SRT-10 gets 40L/100km at worst. :D

Oh come on, Chris! The owners don't give a damn about the consumption...:sleep1zh: They would propably buy one even they would have to stop at the gas pump after every 5 minutes ;)

For you who don't understand French, here's some info:

Anthony Beltoise is a pilot in the Carrera Cup since a long time and use to make lots of road test of supercar in lots of tv show

He gives his impression about the big size of the gear box / motor alone and the carbon chassis which is simply a piece of art for him

After it's only a series of impression about the acceleration, the power and the exclusivity of the Veyron
you can see his impression on his face when he accelerate !!! lol

At the end they explain that the second keys for going to 400km/h is incredible but not very useful because the Veyron need a straigt line of 5 kilometers for going to 400km/h and stop ...

Big thanks to Liziobrem at Gothamdreamboards for the info!

Re: Top Gear's James May hits 407 Km/h.

1st i gave you Thanks only, but i'm removing it right now and giving you karma!

Holy Mother Of God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every single serial production Supercar has been beaten with this video!!! He hits 407 km/h...  :bowdown:

And the driver seems very confident at such speeds, plus the car looks very stable as i can see...

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

:t-cheers:

Re: Top Gear's James May hits 407 Km/h.

Its a pity Bugatti is afraid of letting The Stig drive the car around the track. Hopefully a nice owner is going to let them :)

Who gives a damn for Veyron around the track? It's not made for track and you know that.;)

But i agree that it would be interesting to see.:usa7uh:

What i really want to see now is any of today's serial production supercars to beating this "fat pig" (like many call it) at V-max...;)

Beat this (407 km/h) and then we can talk! Untill then, shut up!

:t-cheers:

Re: Top Gear's James May hits 407 Km/h.

It's amazing how effortless this vehicle is, unbelievable. Watching that video makes me appreciate the Veyron even more.

Great video Yannis. In fact, I'm going to do the same as Tycoon. Retract my thanks and give you karma

Re: Top Gear's James May hits 407 Km/h.

It's a shaped metallbug 1 inch'' over the track!
Doing 407km/t!

Bugatti maybe only got one model but LOOK AT IT!

This looks fantastic!!

(Thank you Yannis & TopGear)
