I hadn't a problem with you preferring a manual over an auto, only that your comments almost referred to the S4/5 not being sporty which they clearly are. That's all.
I have to agree and I blame quattro for this, having had my fair share of manuals and quattros I have always found the shift quality in the quattro to be blocky when rushed compared to a rwd car so mis-shifts are side stepped when you chose S-Tronic.
