X5 BMW X5 (E70) pricing for Canada

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

BMW announces pricing for new 2007 X5

Whitby, Ontario - BMW Canada has announced that the new 2007 X5 sports activity vehicle goes on sale in November with a base price of $61,900 in six-cylinder configuration, and $73,500 for a V8.

Both versions debut with a refined new exterior and with technical improvements including upgraded engines, transmissions, chassis and suspension enhancements, and new interior and equipment levels.

The X5 3.0si uses the latest version of BMW's lightweight 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder, with an output of 260 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque, a 35 hp increase over the previous model but with increased fuel efficiency. The 4.8i uses an all-aluminum 4.8-litre V8 that makes 350 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque, also a 35-hp improvement over the previous model. Both use an upgraded six-speed automatic Steptronic transmission. Both models also come standard with Nevada Leather upholstery, and have the option of three rows of seating.

Five grand more than the Q7 V8, I know what I would choose...

Keep in mind that typically base Audis come with much less equipment than base BMWs… at least in Canada.

Usually when you add them up with the same equipment, they are usually roughly the same (give or take).

E53 Base Prices:
  • X5 3.0i: $ 59,500
  • X5 4.4i: $ 72,200
  • X5 4.8is: $ 98,200

So the X5 3.0si is +4% and the 4.8i is +1.8% more. Thta's a pretty good deal for the 4.8i considering it has the old 4.8is engine for alot less!

Plus Siko, the base equipment far outpasses the E53, so the actual price might be even less than a E53 with the same equipment...

Not here. Over here Audi's have to be cheaper than the competition, and have more equipment at that price too.

:)
