BMW "Never stand still" event

The balls have been falling since July 6th.

There's 180,000 balls in the hourglass.
The latest BMW videos says: "172,000 balls to go."

hmmm....does that mean that there are 4,000 balls per day falling which means that all balls are fallen in approximately 43 days. Anyone know if there is something going on in 43 days? Car show or anything?
