Amm no one knows till now my friend..
But we can say now its m5 turn of renders and discussing;)(y)till we see a leaked one.

The leaked images are the M5. There is no further reveal to be made or secondary design waiting behind closed doors.

As an owner of an M5 both F10 and E61 and owner of the previous E60,E39 and E34. The new car sets out to do exactly what the M5 philosophy is. To be as understated as possible. A true Wolf in Sheeps clothing.
Each generation adheres to that philosophy from its humble business class origins.
What do I think of the new car?
Well it still embraces the M5 formula, it does look understated until you unleash its power. In all a worthy progression.
Has the M5 been about the visual aesthetics though? Not really its about how something can look tame and again understated until you get behind the wheel. They have brought the car through a transition period as curves now fall to angular lines and aerodynamics become sharper than before. M5 owners and traditionalists will not be disappointed and like other generations expect demand to limit supplies for the first year or so.
Would I buy one? I would need to consider the options then again I have faith that the person at BMW M saw potential for High Performance Estates when at Audi. That he will bring that philosophy to BMW M.

Whether van Meel sees potential or not is one question, but if there is potential, the biggest hurdle is if he can sell it to BMW's Board, right?

I understand that, until its parked next to an RS6, then i imagine what an M5 would look like if it embraced its inner wolf....

Yes but like all Audi RS models. They look like a Wolf. Ready to Pounce with its snarling engine until it drives like curious fox. Looking for something but not quite finding it.

New Render.
They just have to work with the side intakes combining both M5 and M3/M4 aesthetics.

And the mirrors of course.

So will it have both side intakes? Can you comment on the future M6?

If you mean the breather? It is made redundant but the surface treatment is retained. Although it does not fully connect. It aligns with the side intake.

Yes that is correct but they are being more open to choices consider unorthodox to the strategy in the past now.
So hopefully a business case can be made. Or else a M550i or M550d would not be a poor choice.

Got it. Whats the reason behind that?

If they remove the air breather at the bottom, will the indentation still stay? - in other words - will it still resemble a hockey stick?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
