Hi!Which one is better for u? I`m currently driving 535d E60,and I strongly considering to buy a new one.Because of my age,i want something smaller, faster and sharper than current one.Porsche is more extravagand, but rear end is not so nice as BMW`s.And,is it realy hard to drive Porsche, because of engine in the rear end? Hope, you are going to solve my problem, and give e a right answers. :)

I had a 535d and an E92 M3 DCT. I have driven a friend's 997.1 manual extensively. M3 is faster than the pre-facelift cars but post facelift cars with PDK and Sport Chrono beat the M3 soundly. Porsche is more raw, it gives you more feel. BMW to me feels more stable both at speed and through corners. Porsches have a weird feeling if you have not driven one before. Nose is light and tends to lift in hard corners. I found the BMW easier to trust. Sound also goes to the BMW. Porsche uses a bit less fuel. Tough choice. Good luck.

Hard choice actually. M3 E92 is last of its kind, probably BMW last high reeving N/A engine. But I reckon M3 is cheaper to own, lower insurance and practical (M3 also available with 4-door) but as a used car Porsche is better value once you decide to sell the car. Porsche is always a Porsche and more extravagant and easier to impress your friends with.

Are you Bulgarian?

@Mr.Vuk

Are we talking 997.1 or .2 ?

Thanks guys! I`m able and willing to spent about 35,000 euros.
Just_mI`m not interested in 4 door.
I don`t know,I prefer speed and safety.I don`t have that much experience and certenly,i don`t want to die :) So,u both think that M3 is "easier" to handle?
If we speak about insurance I think that would be about 2-3k per year in my country. But just registration (to get licences plates, and to register a car) would be over 2k euros per year!
Stefan kolev u had M3,and how much money u have to spent per year tu run him?

M3 vs 997.1 = M3

M3 vs 997.2 = very difficult. Probably a manual M3 coupe in the end.

All the best, let us know your choice!

I think,in the ebd it would be M3.But,i prefer automatic transmission. Can I find good Bimmer for about 30k euros?

Thanks for a feedback ;)
And,how much(approximately) would be running costs for M3 for about 15k kilometers?

Try both, they both drive so differently, you will like one or the other more. Like Stefan said, 997 will definitely be the harder car to drive fast - some will like that, some won't. If you can afford the extra penny over the S, try the 997 GTS, it is the under appreciated dark horse of the 997 line up.

Yes@mini cooper

Didnt keep count but it likes a drink in the city and you have to top up the oil every now and then too@Mr Vuk
