Not sure if this has been posted before but never the less it is a very entertaining video, showing you impressive driving skills of a driver in a much slower car (BMW M3 E92) against a big daddy 560hp BMW M5 F10. The outcome is very surprising!

Not slower, you mean weaker engine. Because the M3 is much lighter and thus more nimble. Can brake much later etc.

If anything, the M5 is more amazing being the big beast it is.

Without knowing the specs of each car it means nothing. Simply by having cup tyres, the M3 would have a massive advantage. Maybe the M3 has upgraded brakes?

The M3 does seem to brake better/later than the M5 and cornering seems more neutral/accurate, the M5 seemed a little nervous on some corners, but both cars are great.

@Betty Swollocks I checked the comments on the video and the driver/owner listed some mods to the M3 (it is not standard). They didn't have anything on the M5 but I am guessing it is stock.

1) Kw club sport , ap Racing 6 pot (I guess this is the engine specs)
2) Michelin sport cup tyres
3) home made exhaust system

What I mean by slower is in straight line (acceleration), on the straights can be seen how the M5 pulls far ahead but the M3 driver catches him on the braking and cornering.

That would be the chassis and brakes.

Indeed. The suspension is by KW - likely shocks and springs - and the brakes are AP Racing 6 pot caliper brakes, a huge upgrade from the fade-prone (for track work) floating caliper units the E92 was fitted with.

I believe that is a 4.4 GTS. It should be quicker around Nurburgring than the M5 all else being equal (despite being a tad slower on the straights). Also, the GTS sounds fantastic.

Ooops. I take that back. That is a different video. Here is the video where an E92 M3 GTS is chasing an F10 M5.
