M3/M4 BMW M3 Coupe E92 Picture Thread

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
Brilliant!!, but the rear lights graphiscs are starting to age, the FL should add them LEDs and give the car a a much newer appearance.

E36 M3 used to come in Estoril blue. They seem to have changed the name to Monte Carlo blue. They look the same.

Yep, that color is pretty much the same. I would say the Estoril was a bit more metallic with more of a hue of purple in some angles of the sunlight, but mostly pretty much the same. As you might know, my E36 was Estoril. F__k I miss it.

I was thinking that when looking at another set of pictures?

Why would that not have the CB roof and why would you paint the wing mirrors? Why not CB?

And the wheels really need to be powder coated to take that shine away, shiny black against the dull blackish tyres looks odd..

The car has got a sunroof = no CF roof but the steel one. Probably it would be technically impossible or very expensive to produce a CF roof with hole for a sunroof.

This blue colour is gorgeous, but you're right the painting scheme looks a little bit strange. Black rims - a matter of taste, the same with kidneys. But mirrors look ugly with black caps, either all black or as in the standard M3.

Nevertheless, it's a great car and I wish I could have one :eusa_pray

That's exactly what I was gonna say. As for CF with space for sunroof, well, they could do it but it will be VERY expensive. Also, adding motors to the CF for the sunroof just defeats the purpose of the damn thing in the first place.

Just opt for no sunroof, it's a driving machine, not a comfort machine!

They are calling it Monte Carlo Blue but it could be Estoril with a new name.

It's Monte Carlo Blue. I know it looks very much like Estoril Blue, which is actually a little bit brighter. As far as I know, BMW had to stop using Estoril Blue because of its ingredients which did not fullfil ecological norms. But some time ago they confirmed that Estoril Blue will soon be available again, this time as a water-based ecological paint :) Long live this color !:usa7uh:

Yeah, in natural light you can tell Estoril blue apart from Monte Carlo due to Estoril having a just a hint of purple in sunlight. Monte Carlo is as blue as blue, no other spectrum there, but it's still brilliant.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
