None of that is true. Quattro is the best selling AWD system in the World as well. Audi BARELY sells FWD actually.
I think I need to correct you on this one, Audi probably sell more FWD than Quattro ones in the same way that they probably sell more diesel than petrol cars.
And no one was talking about FWD either. We all understand the limitations there. Though even that drivetrain configuration has seen HUGE improvements too. Like the Leon Cupra 280 lapping the Nurburgring faster than an M3 and C63...
Anyone who believes ANY one drivetrain setup is unequivocally best doesn't know enough about it.
This I do happen to agree with, each have their merits and limitations.
