X3/X4 BMW iX3

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3.
When is the Y coming ? To Europe only when the Berlin factory is finished. So this will take another year maybe ?
What people naively overlook is that 200 km/h top speed and range of 500 km are written in the same test result, but not measured at the same time.
If an X runs at 200 km/h and you check the range you get, you will soon find out that the range shrinks drastically. What remains is less than half the usual range (maybe energy for 1 hour if at all). The same is valid for the Y.

The tests are nice to have, but driving in reality is a completely different story.

So the numbers on paper are not as high for the iX3. But are they important in daily use ? But for actual driving the car is about equal (or at least not far away). Driving a single motor is good enough since many decades. And I think it is a lot less expensive (and I usually prefer the BMW quality).

Oh fcukrap! Another BMW fanboy has descended on us...

As the BMW get suckier... they too seem to be multiplying. .

The current prices for Y are between 60k and 70k. (Switzerland). There should be an entry model for 40k, but it is not on the market - they say probably in two years.
IX3 is also in this range (65k-75k), but can be made much more expensive, if you add a lot of expensive accessories. Probably prices will also go down in 2 years (battery etc.)

Your fanboy talk is the real crap. It’s very clever to be a fanboy yourself and moan about the other fanboys.
Almost like Trump moaning about all the people who tell lies in this world. Bye, life is too short for this crap.

Bashing and fanboy....;chicken and egg.

Ha, interesting take, like Newton's 3nd law - every force has an equal opposite reaction? So more a brand sucks, more people bash it, the more fanboys descend on you. Never thought of it that way...

Funny though you see less trolling with the other brands. Either BMW generates more emotion (positive and negative) or BMW fans are more tolerant than others.

Or maybe BMW just sucks more and what people call trolling is other people's response to braindead fanboyism coupled with said brand sucking.

BMW fans are more tolerant than others.

Agree on that bit. How else does one remain a BMW fan?

I know, cause I am still a BMW fan. I own 2, one of them now exactly as long as Steven21's probably been in this world and it is still my favorite car. Yes, I don't like the BMW leadership or the mediocrity that it has come to represent. And even less so the fanboys that seem to just blindly cheer the mediocrity. Like what you see in this thread.

Who was first, has nothing to do with your "explanation".

0-62 mph in 6.8sec
50-75mph in 4.1sec

This car is slow. For all BMW's campaigning about the benefits of basing EVs on existing platforms, the iX3 isn't cheap either.

At £61,000 it makes the 0-62mph in 4sec Tycan 4S look reasonably priced at £83,000. The cost of ownership between the two will likely favour the Porsche because it will depreciate less.

Range is better than E-tron and EQC while iX3 is better priced than these two, at least where I live. Good alternative for those who don’t like a duckfaced, poor quality Model Y.

Great to see how BMW apparently was able to make such an efficient electric car out of the X3! Maybe some on here were too early with their judgements?

This thread needs a thorough cleanup @mods!

WTF is happening. Stick to the iX3 for crying out loud and stop moaning in the same stupid circle jerk!

No, it's still a RWD only SUV that won't be offered here because dealers were positive it wasn't going to sell. They're right and I look forward to the iNEXT for that reason.
