3 Series (G20) BMW G20 3 Series LCI - First Official Pics!

The BMW G20 is the seventh generation of the BMW 3 Series range. Body styles: G20 (sedan), G21 (wagon/touring), G28 BEV (i3), and G28 (long-wheelbase). Predecessor: F30 3 Series. Successor: G50 3 Series. Production: October 2018-2016.
More information about the second facelift-L.C.I. from ynguldyn:

"07/24: Another refresh. I don't think BMW will call it "LCI2" but the changes will be noticeable. The interior will get new materials, trims, glass knobs, Iconic Glow kidneys will become available as an option, there will be new wheels. US and Korea will get B48 and B58 TÜ engines (on paper, there will be 7hp bumps for 320i and 330i, and 7hp loss for M340i)."

A future classic. Excluding the M3, this is the last non-hybrid performance saloon that will be for sale in Europe. The successor to the M340i will be electric. The i4 M50i is currently the best selling M car.

Since the future G45 X3 will be offering the M50i variant. Would it be possible for the combustion powered G50 3er to provide the M340i's successor in form of M350i or M350e?

The current 3 series is so superior in design to its predecessor... this one has no flaws, 3.5 years have passed and it doesn't bore, the flawless
So simple but so attractive...

Simplicity is way underrated. Just look how gorgeous that is compared to that ass face BMW iX...

One thing is one thing and another thing is another thing, for example I am not the typical client of an iX, but I am not of an X in general, if I were in both cases it would be to show them off from the outside, but the sedan coupe would show it off for me and for me more than anything

The 508 PSE is a weighty car, yet the way it absorbs bumps and maintains its composure on fast, flowing roads is remarkable. It has a poise that at times makes the pursuing M340i feel a little relaxed, and solid brake feel and stopping power too.

As far as the Volkswagen is concerned, that’s an awful lot of money for a car with little charm. We’ve struggled to enjoy the Golf R and the Arteon R feels as underwhelming, with a potent but joyless engine and unresolved dynamics. Even more than the Golf, it feels as though it hasn’t been lovingly honed or lavished with attention. That pretty much goes for the whole car, with the result that the Arteon R is not engaging or exciting or desirable.

The M340i, on the other hand, is all of those things. There are a few minor downsides: the instruments are a little ugly, its lane keep assist is an over-sensitive blight on otherwise pure steering, and the Peugeot can teach it a thing or two about ultimate body control, too. Overall, though, the pitch of the BMW is pretty much spot-on and it sees off the challenge of the Peugeot, which in turn leaves the Volkswagen bobbing in its wake.
Evo's M340i vs 508 PSE vs Arteon R

Great showing for the G21 per usual, very surprised by the performance of the stylish 508 as well, and very disappointed with the Arteon R.

That depends - do you want to drive a car or a television?

I disagree with klier and I can tell you right now that the new interior will be a backward step in overall usability.
Here's my question to the BMW insiders - if I don't order Sport Auto option, do I still get paddles behind the steering wheel?

I test drove a 320e Touring at the weekend, the sole motivation being whether I could live with the new interior layout, functionality, and the graphics of the instrument display of the LCI 3er.

I couldn't.

BMW could have had an order from me but I'm sticking with my pre-LCI 3er, thanks. I'm normally a sucker for something new and shiny but the LCI is a massive step backwards. The iDrive8 I could accept, but the instrument display looks like its been designed by a 15-year-old gamer. About as unclear as any instrument display I've seen in a car.

It’s a freaking joke. All fine and dandy for pretty internet pictures and caryowsers reviews but for real BMW prospective buyers - a tangible regression in usability and quality. I guess I’ll be waiting for the 3rd LCI but right now I get no pangs of desire to replace my pre-LCI either.
