3 Series (F30) BMW F34 3er GT: Spy Pics - Renders - Info

The sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series consists of the BMW F30 (sedan version), BMW F31 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring') and BMW F34 (fastback version, marketed as 'Gran Turismo') compact executive cars. The F30/F31/F34 generation was produced from October 2011 to 2019 and is often collectively referred to as the F30. For the sixth generation, the coupé and convertible models were spun off to create the new BMW 4 Series nameplate.

This is the best view as long as you dont see the rear. The front is fantastic good looking. I think we all can agree on that.

It's got the A7's desease. Front + front/side is great. But the back... is... Ugly is a nice way to say it.

For the most part I like this car. Just like I liked the A5 from Audi. Thanks Audi for not bringing that gem to the states, it probably wouldn't have sold, so your beancounters got that right, but as a fan I was disappointed. What I don't like is that "vent" behind the front wheels. It looks so half assed. It's as if it's a styling theme that needs to be spread across the brand and they were just embarrassed and threw it up there. It's the wrong size, and doesn't harmonize at all. I'm looking forward to the interior. The other thing that's disappointing is this trend where the only good looking model is the sport model. I've seen the plain jane 3GT and the body cladding on that is insulting. Why? Why? do I have to pay extra to make a brand new car look decent.

The pinnacle of BMW design was the Z4 concept coupe, which should have been fully realized in the production car, if it weren't for the change to the front spoiler lip. Luckily that's easily remedied with a 2003-2005 retrofit.

It looks good until you see the back or a side profile shot. This will fail miserably in the U.S. if sold here. Its just pointless here.

It's much better looking from all angles than the 5GT but it's rear (like the A7) isn't that great. Other than that I reckon it's what's needed in the 3 series match as not everyone want either a saloon or an estate.

I'll hold off completely judging it's looks until I see it in real life.

I'm confused. Why everyone has official photos and press release and it's not on BMW's press site?

Maybe their webmaster is a disgruntled employee who wants an M6 Gran Coupe as a company car just like all those other guys on the internet?

Like others have said, not as bad looking as 5GT. But why, when a 3er touring is better in almost every away.

As you can tell by my username, i'm a lifelong BMW fan but in the last few years i've really started to notice the lack of effort by the company. It's frustrating..

The interior is exactly the same as the 3 series sedan and touring, what happened to the GT being a more exclusive car?! Audi and Mercedes have been focusing on the smallest details interior wise and you can really tell, BMW are slacking.. sort it out please

The A5 Sportbacks interior is identical to the A4/A5s, the A7's is a facsimile of the A6's and it's a class above......

Most attractive BMW front in some time. It has a certain agression that has sorely been missing.

As for the rear, well shame to the people driving behind you.

So is this one also intended for the Chinese market?

I have a gut feeling this car will prove quite popular in the UK at least. Here in this vehicle size the hatchback is bread and butter and another upmarket A5SB rival is always welcome. The only thing against I see is that unlike the A5SB which looks a bit coupey this 3GT is majoring on practicality.

Can't see it being popular in the States though.
