Woodcliff Lake, NJ – June 1, 2026 . . . The third round of the MotoAmerica Quad Lock Superbike Championship was hosted at Road America, the 4.048-mile circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin - a very fast circuit where straight line speeds can exceed 190 mph.

After four podium finishes out of the last five races, including two 2nd place trophies, Sean Dylan Kelly, OrangeCat Racing and the BMW M 1000 RR broke through and took their first victory of the 2026 Superbike season. OrangeCat Racing are no strangers to winning with BMW, having been crowned 2025 MotoAmerica Stock 1000 Champions, before moving up to the top Superbike class for 2026 and being named the first BMW Motorsport factory partner team in MotoAmerica history.

Sean Dylan Kelly (No. 40 OrangeCat Racing BMW M 1000 RR) continued setting top times during Practive with a 2:10.251 in Free Practice 1, good enough for 2nd position with his teammate Jayson Uribe (No. 36 OrangeCat Racing BMW M 1000 RR) posting a lap time of 2:13.306, placing him in 11th. In Timed Practice, Kelly again set a time which was good enough for 2nd place with Uribe equaling his Free Practice position of 11th. Free Practice 2 finally saw Kelly post a top time of 2:09.984 with his teammate Uribe coming in at 11th.

In Saturday’s red flagged Qualifying session, Sean Dylan Kelly’s fastest lap of 2:10.186 was good enough to get him onto the 2nd row and the 4th starting position. Jayson Uribe secured himself a 3rd row start with the fastest lap of 2:11.684

Race 1

Fans who came to see an exciting race in person and those who tuned in online or on Samsung TV Plus were not disappointed. Right from the start, both OrangeCat riders, Kelly and Uribe, battled with their fellow competitors for every point. Uribe initially traded places between 2nd and 3rd until a crash from the lead group on Lap 6 led to a red flag race stop. At the restart, Kelly was now battling for the lead, with a 5-lap sprint race ahead of him. It truly was one of the most exciting final laps for the fans as the lead was swapped multiple times with Kelly finishing in P2, just 0.067 seconds behind P1. Jayson Uribe finished in 8th, 9.1 seconds behind the lead.

Race 2

Right from the start, Sean Dylan Kelly put himself towards the front of the break away group of six riders and bided his time until lap 4, when he made a pass to take over the lead – which he never relinquished. It was a well-deserved victory for Kelly and for the entire OrangeCat Racing team. Jayson Uribe continued his very good results of picking up championship points in five of the last six races. With a P8 finish in Race 2, Uribe puts himself in the center of a very tight race for championship points, with five riders within four points of each other.

Sean Dylan Kelly (rider No. 40 OrangeCat BMW M 1000 RR):

“It felt so good to get our first win of the season! The feeling on my BMW has been getting better and better and this was a very strong weekend. Race 1 was a really tough battle until the last lap, but we felt short of winning. Race 2 was smooth, I felt like I rode a really good race with no mistakes and was able to lead most of the laps until the flag. I’m leading the championship now, which is amazing, but there’s still a lot of racing left. We need to keep focused on our work and keep this momentum. Thank you, OrangeCat Racing and BMW, for making this possible! “

Jayson Uribe (rider No. 36 OrangeCat BMW M 1000 RR):

“A difficult but productive weekend here at Road America for my side of the garage. We had mechanical issues in both sessions on Friday, spent Saturday playing catch up. We qualified decently and I found myself fighting for the top 6 in both races! I finished P8 both times, just missing out on some easily fixable traction and electronic developments that I know we will get dialed in for the next race weekend. Huge thanks to the whole OCR crew and BMW for the incredible machine! We will get there. Just need to work on the little things.”

Quad Lock Superbike Championship Standings

After three events, Sean Dylan Kelly leads the championship by one point and Jayson Uribe is in 12th place, just four points behind the 8th spot.

Next Race

MotoAmerica Superbikes return on June 26-28 at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Washington state.
