That's been slightly bugging me ever since they presented the 1er. They give it that happy puppy face that's a bit too cute for a car this serious. Well, it's a small imperfection if the car otherwise delivers. Would have loved a NA engine, though... That would have made it perfect.

The M3 is approximately $16K more than the 335i coupe, base price in the U.S.A. If we use that as a guideline percentage wise, that will put the 1M around $49K or around $13K over the 135i coupe base price.

I hope you are right but $43K seems like wishful thinking.

At $49K, that will put it circa $9k below the base price of the M3 coupe.
I reckon it will be between $45-48K.

Would've thought they could have slightly different, more aggressive headlights on the 1M to keep it fresh/different to the standard 1coupe/cabrio lineup since the 1M lags the standard coupe/cabrio by some 3 years.
Wished this had some modified version of the S54 from the old M3, would make this the last straight 6 NA M engine for some time to come.

Nah, the lights are great. Definitely no need to change them. The lights on the 3er coupé facelift are much more awkward imo.

I always found that the 1er front lights looked weird in head-on pictures, but not in real life, so I'm not too worried.

I saw an 1M lookalike two days ago, could post this for obvious reasons . It was white, rims looked to have been spaced to filled the arches and it was lowered by approximately 1 inch, had a nice lip spoiler on the boot and nose treatment, in fact looked very similar to the tii.

I must say that if the 1M looks anything like that did then it will be a stunner.

I saw an 1M lookalike two days ago, could post this for obvious reasons . It was white, rims looked to have been spaced to filled the arches and it was lowered by approximately 1 inch, had a nice lip spoiler on the boot and nose treatment, in fact looked very similar to the tii.

Sounds like a Performance equipped 1-series.

And you are 100% spot-on correct

Driving past my local dealer each day after work I see F10's, X1's, E70's and 1er's standing aligned next to each other starring at me with their powerful presence through the showrooms huge windows and....the 1er's NEVER looks anything like the head-on pictures, I am prepared to say that the 1 series has that certain 'brutal' stance from the front + pronounced wheel arches that reminds me of the best era in BMW design...E46 ///M3

Hard to say as was parked among other cars and I was driving pass it at the time, but it could have been. What exactly is this, a Hartge bodykit or something?

No, it definitely had a different nose treatment than that. It instantly remained me of an M car, meaning the same style of front bumper as an M3.

Is there such a body kit for a 1er coupe that has that type of nose?
