Could never understand why BMW always treated the E87 hatchback like the unwanted bastard of a son. No 135 variant, nor M variant..... yet the 130i hatch is amongst the most bona fide BMW's in their entire production line up, in terms of sheer driving pleasure.

Agree. The marketing for the hatch is bad, it's like they "don't care" the public thinks it's a "cheap bmw" or a bmw for the elderly when in fact, the E87 is such a great car, but they just only emphasise on the E82. Seriously the facelift of the E87 could've been more dramatic, to put some nicer rear lights to sharpen the car up a whole lot more (like adopting L-shaped rear lights), and it'd probably kill the A3. It's like, in most places I've been in, from most people I've heard from, the 1series hatch is just not a cool bmw to have. why. Why no M hatch but M SUVs? would be epic having a serious M hatch. And why isn't there 130i coupe but just 128?

Very strange logic there. Understandable, but also wrong.
This means there shouldn't be a 330i either. And that's not the case. 330i even has 272 hp, very close to 335i (or at least, closer than 130i's 265 hp vs 135i's 306 hp)

I think so, on account of it being a very ambiguous question; does he mean the possible convertible version, or is it a reference to the questioned use of turbo chargers in M-engines?

Lighter, better balanced? I have read on forums that even the 330i goes through corners better than the 335i (e90) on track, more stable. why no 130i coupe!! argh!

hartge did the H1 which had the S65. Wont be surprised if they're the first to attempt a S54 conversion
