So wait, this car is on sale already? Where is it being sold?

They make 50 of the Shooting Brake, and 50 of the Targa (or whatever both are called)
Completely and utterly meaningless. All are sold.

I like it a lot, but it really doesn't advance the design language.

It doesn't have to always do that, the Z8 comes to mind and was a one off design wise too, completely separate from the then current design direction.

It's just a shame they make so few.

Yes, but if that's the price to pay to make them possible, then I welcome it. Purely aesthetic, unexpected exercises, outside the everyday routine of commercial design, and ultimately successful. Keep bringing them one a year, every year.
