M8 BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupé

The BMW M8 is the high-performance version of the BMW 8 Series (G15) marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. Introduced in June 2019, the M8 was initially produced in the 2-door convertible (F91 model code) and 2-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles. A 4-door sedan (F93 model code, marketed as 'Gran Coupe') body style was added to the lineup in October 2019. The M8 is powered by the BMW S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine shared with the BMW M5 (F90). Official website: BMW M
As a comparison, the current M6 Coupe is 4,902mm in length, while the M6 GranCoupe is 5,017mm.

5,78 m in length is a figure that I continue to find very hard to believe. It is surely a misprint. Especially when viewing photographs of the M8 GC with normally dimensioned human beings standing next to the car. 5078 mm stands, I believe.

5,78 m ?? That's early-mid 1970s' GM B-Body length.

It's the only way to roll, man.

The height should be about 1,4 m and it can be spread 3,5 times in the length, which gives smth like 5 m

Also: the wheels are 21" in size. 5.78m car length would translate into 227.56". Meaning the car lenght would be 11-times wheel size. Which it obviously isn't. Pics & live encounters prove that.

The correct length figure for M8 GC would be a bit over 5m. 5.078m, perhaps. Eg. AMG GT 4dr is 5.025m long, and Porsche Panamera lenght figure is 5.050m.

5.78m length figure is utter nonsense by Autobild. Total fail.

While I usually enjoy Autobild and find the publication highly informative, they are hardly infallible.

Case in point: Up until very shortly before the presentation of the new Bentley Continental GT, Autobild referred to the car as being based on the VAG MLBevo matrix. A glaringly clear faux pas.

Probably a typo and it is 5.078 m

the maybach how long it is? around 5.5m and this will be 5.78m ?? 10000% false

Then the backlash about how Scott doesn’t know this for a fact....

The only backlash I'm aware of is when Scott PURPORTS to know the facts. ;)

Having seen the Concept M8 Gran Coupe in the metal, I can say it actually looks a LOT better than in the photographs. I was very underwhelmed when the first photos were released, but having seen it in Geneva pretty much one week ago today, my opinions have changed, and I'm very much OVERwhelmed.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
