My vote is defenetly for Merc, but it would have been a justice if they have they tested S65 instead of S63, or the 750Li instead of 760Li. All V8 would have been a fare comparison!

All 3 Germans are something to savor. The 7er (especially in black) stands out in this crowd styling wise. My 1st choice the 7er + standard vs optional extras it's the choice here, V12 Beemer is good value. 2nd the Panamera Turbo. S-class I will ALWAYS respect.:t-cheers:

As far as Porsches go, the only Porsche for me would be 911.

If i want a luxury car in this class, it's either previous gen S8 or 760Li.

In this case, it's 760Li for me.

Make it blue, M pack and some crazy 20" rims and i'm fine. :D

Oh and interior black on alu...

:t-cheers:

Seriously no one can touch the germans when it comes to panzers :D

^I was thinking the same thing Klier. I'm amazed that there is so much more wood on the door in the 7 series then the S-class.

BMW Individual interior is just mind-blowing, but just looking at the W221 and Panamera and I know, that you can do wrong by buying any of these! But I love the design of the Panamera interior. It is fantastic looking, especially this combination of dark wood and bright leather seats.

Extraordinary shots.

I felt the overexposure was completely unnecessary for these types of shots. Some of them appear to have been edited extremely with tone, saturation and luminosity settings. The composition of the shots is great but that's about it.

In my opinion of course. :t-cheers:

Automobile: 2010 BMW 760Li, Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, Porsche Panamera Turbo Comparison

The history books would have you believe that the West was once a wild place. But if you're braving the sweltering California desert and happen upon a little town called Palm Springs, you'd never know it. The dusty bandits, merciless bounty hunters, and untamed renegades are long gone, replaced by air-conditioned cafés, opulent galleries, and swanky day spas. The only weapons in use are those rumbling under the hoods of the many exotic and classic cars cruising the boulevard. The desert people clearly favor Cadillacs over Caterhams, though - luxury rules the West now.

The BMW 760Li, the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, and the Porsche Panamera Turbo each enter the saloon with at least 500 horses of firepower tucked away beneath a façade of formality. They look benign enough, but when the dust starts flying, there are few steeds that can match their speed. They may all hail from Germany, but there's something distinctly Wild West about these three sedans. And so we took them to Palm Springs, their natural habitat, for a gunslinging showdown.

The idea that a luxury sedan should be able to dice with a sports car is a relatively new one. Acceleration is relatively easy to achieve - just add more engine - but getting a big, cushy, heavy car to dance through the corners like a light sports car isn't. And the very essence of a sports car - the lovely sounds, the tight body control, the connected steering - is exactly the opposite of a luxury sedan. Or so you'd think.

Thanks to computer-controlled suspensions, brilliant engineering, and colossal powertrains, these three Germans break all the rules. They're do-everything machines - large, gilded cruisers with first-class interiors and all the latest techno-gizmos, and yet they can pull off sports car moves with almost no penalty to comfort. On the surface, the BMW, the Mercedes, and the Porsche are very similar: They cost the same. They're all similarly powerful - and have so much brute force at their disposal that they start out in second gear unless you request otherwise. And yet, in the details, they couldn't be more different.

That 0-60 time for the Panamera is outrageous. I think the 4S might be the more desirable "sedan" though (better balance of ride comfort and performance).:eusa_thin

I think all the reported Panamera performance numbers are suspect at best.
They are flat out wrong.

hahahaha ..... I like it when those journalists does not know what the hell they are talking about, OK the panamera is ugly, we know it, but the funny part when he talks about sound insulation of the Panamera, here I know he was talking out of his ***. The car has double glazzed windows, the car has perfect insulation and as I remember correctly, it scored better number than both S class and 7 series.

This thread is a repost I believe. This has been posted already. Can a mod merge them????

On the subject, I just wanted to say that the BMW 7er is far and away the prettiest car in it's class. It's mindblowingly stunning. Much, much more so than the Panny or Benz imo.

I think this is a different article coming to the same conclusions, but I could be wrong. Disagree with the 7 being the nicest looking car out of these three, it's the Benz. The 7 looks more sporty, serious.
