You're not getting my point at all.
Nobody says the 5er GT exterior design is unimportant due being secondary - yet it has to follow the marketing & engineering demands regarding cabin space & versatility - which was of a primary for this project. Yes, also in other cases design / styling follows the instructions by marketing & engineers, but this time this was even more important.
Of course the very important part of the brief was to make the car very stylish. Geez, it even has frameless all 4 doros!!!
But still ... the prime concern was the interior / cabin space & versatility & design.
Otherwise BMW give prime concern to other aspects not cabin space & versatility - as it was the case in 5er GT.
Instead of seeing a shrink some can take a Valium pill. Better than nothing.
