It's a small mistake. They should have written "for the first time, the 5 series comes with optional xDrive and all wheel steering."

It's not a small mistake. If the author would have a clue what he/she was writing about, he would've noticed the mistake during editing.

Well, ok. I agree in that point. But to be honest, these kind of mistakes are happening often in german car magazines, such as "AutoBild" for example.


Edit: "BMW will use carbon fiber and aluminum in construction of 5 series to keep the weight down and the new model is 100 kgs lighter than outgoing model."

The headlight difference between G11, G30 and F10 is a bigger difference than the whole C, E and S combined. Very, very sad.

And the G30 will not look like an extended facelift compared to the F10. You'll see soon enough. A new car through and through. But a typical BMW indeed.

because, in your example that journalist didn`t know that new 5 series will or will not use carbon fiber, so that is just speculation. Like someone says "premiere will be within 40 days"
But when some journalist write that new 5 series will be first time with AWD, that is crappy, becasue, it is well known fact that 5 series has AWD for last few generations...

For the first time, BMW 5 series will come with all wheel drive system. We can expect BMW to introduce next generation 5 series by the end of 2017 in India.

I gather they mean AWD will be available for the first time in India. Much like the UK, we have not had a 5er xDrive and only recently had xDrive on the 1er/2er/3er and 4er in certain engine and gearbox configurations. All down to the packaging/marketing.

^'They' are always testing something, and it often does not matter which base vehicle is used as a mock-up.
This here is a G11 anyway. G30 will be less alu, a more driver-oriented iDrive, and very different vents.
