So what is the benchmark for you in this segment at this moment? I think it is. Driving dynamics depends a lot of the setting: comfort, sport or sport+ mode. The only thing I can agree with is the steering, which is a bit of artificial. The F10 5er is severely overweight and not the driving benchmark it should be. So the F10 is the odd one out if anything imo...

I understand what you mean. E60 M5 (or M-package) still looks great. I like them both. Still F10/11 for me, especialy interior wise.5er is still the benchmark, I just want better steering and less weight to make the car a bit more dynamic again.
Design is subjective after all, we can debate that here until the world runs out of electricity. I don't see the point of that anymore....
.....but it's still fun to debate so here we go, which one do you guys like better:

F10 looks great, E60 looks glorious
Though a standard F10 looks better than a standard E60. E60 needs it's M pack suit.

I like the E60 M5 a lot it still looks great, it is the best looking E60 by far and I think it looks much better than the F10 M5 cause it is more compact and sporty looking, the F10 is a much bigger looking car now and somehow doesn't look as aggressive as the E60. I like the front bumper air intakes on the E60 as well as the squared off rear with those 4 massive pipes and then the engine sound, that 5.0 V10 sounds amazing, better in my opinion than the V8 in the F10.5er is still the benchmark, I just want better steering and less weight to make the car a bit more dynamic again.

But the E60 is BOLD, and you either like it, or don't.
in terms of design, the F10 represents BMW's ethos better than the E60; it will age better. The E60 was a good 5er, but IMO it had 2 things against: 1) the front wasn't that great as the headlights haven't aged well and the grille looked relatively dinky, and 2) the interior was not premium enough. But what the E60 had going for it was that it drove like a BMW.
