2 Series BMW 2 series Gran Coupe (F44)

The BMW 2 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since the year 2014. The 2 Series was created when BMW spun-off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the BMW 1 Series into a separate series.
The front is very strong.
Rear 3/4 angle is unflattering because of the tall and boxy rear.

Its the third window. If it was a Hatch then it would work.
But it's a four door and four door BMW sedans don't have three windows. Years ago they had an answer for this.
"It ruins the proportions."

Some of their drag races are questionable, but their reviews are top drawer stuff ....looking towards to this review.

I do not see why so much scandal over the lines of this car, about its attractiveness and others, in my opinion it is a car with a very nice look, it is not an Aston Martin nor does it pretend to be

Easy question. It looks nothing like a BMW. Proportions look worse than most of its competitors, as it is expensive as fack. German competition is expensive too, but at least their look is less offensive.

This car doesn't have the elegance that a compact BMW should have. Hope that at least this betrayal is financially worth it (which I doubt) for the company.

That's exactly what I was talking about, about the negativity that exists in many regarding the perception of the 2 GC, but I insist that it doesn't seem so serious to me, as an example that last photo where it is seen as a BMW as far as proportions are concerned and its silhouette does not disappoint at all

It is not negativity here. I have talked to many people in my social circle and every one of them thinks the same way. Who likes the car here? Some of the most dedicated BMW fans. Nothing wrong with liking this thing, but not sure how it is weird that the average people does not.

Also. Typical BMW proportions? No sir, these are BMW proportions:

An on this very segment, the ancient A3 Sedan looks way better than this.

What I was saying is that in terms of proportions it keeps being recognizable as a BMW, of course it does not have the elegance of the rear-wheel drive, but I do not see it as something so serious or decisive in this segment, I will also wait to see an IRL for confirm

I couldn't disagree more

Elegant really isn't how I'd describe the 2-er coupe either to be honest. It's chunky to the point of being slightly bloated with very little finesse around the details.

I like it a lot, but it's not elegant in the slightest. It's like calling a set of Nike Air Maxes elegant.

As I said it's the inclusion of the third window that makes it less BMW more ordinary. It something they solved with the F52 1er Sedan.

And bonus M-Packet.

How do you find the 1M coupe?

Generally speaking I prefer the tauter lines, and surface treatment of the E8x 1ers to the F2x 1ers and 2ers. The 1M specifically, its brawny to a comical degree, and looks like what it is - a car that wasn't designed with that rear track in mind! That said, I don't dislike it either, like the 2002 Turbo and the E30 M3, the slightly steroidal look is fit for purpose.

I asked because I find the E8x much better lookung and clearly showing the best of Bangle's flame sirficing. And the 1M with its wide rear fenders is like a Pitbull.

Is that M packet new?, part of the facelift or is it a render?
The question that nobody asks is why they included the third window, I don't think they wanted to do it less BMW, surely there will be reasons for it, one of them clearly is that there is a 1 series sedan for sale today without the third window, but there must be others
