I personally think it quite probably is the worst looking BMW I have ever seen.
Sure you have the 3...

BMW has occasionally produced (or at least marketed) some "weirdos" throughout the companys' history.:

But yes-the 2er GC is (IMHO) the oddest, most disjointed looking BMW in more recent history. It has quite a nice interior, mind you.

PMSL at the fact that the only way people find the 2er GC mildly acceptable is when it's actually a photo of the 8er.

You talk like the 2er in the photo is a base model. It actually has the Luxury Trim option, which is an extra €5,000, as well as the most expensive alloys available.

Except the 8er. For such an expensive car, the base version of that looks terrible...should have really took tips from the 7 series luxury line.

I dunno about that, If you could spec the base version with other options only available on the M packet versions I think it looks pretty good. The front bumper treatment on the M850i and M8 is one of the biggest reasons I don't much like the look of those cars.

Forgive my ruffling the feathers of diehard BMW aficionados-as well as comparing a "value-for-money" brand product with a "premium brand" product...But...

I simply cannot fathom the choice of selecting the 2er GC when the above pictured automobile can be had, in comparable configuration, for several thousand Euros less.

why would you buy any premium Brand instead of Skoda. As you said it is several thousand Euros cheaper. Why pepole are buying Gucci, Levi's, Nike, rolex ,...?? Better to
buy cheap stuff from China. It is much cheaper.

When it comes to cars (as well as various other items), market segment is an important consideration. And a perhaps a professional necessity to "present and represent". Would I personally choose a Skoda Superb over a BMW 5er, M-B E-Class or Audi A6 (were I a shopper in that particular segment as well as a professional that is engaged in visiting and entertaining clients) ? Quite unlikely. But in the segment in which the BMW 2er is positioned, the criteria is usually far different. Premium brand badging becomes a less significant factor-save for brand "fanboys/fangirls". My 2 Euro cents.
