As we're expecting a baby in September I can't justify the M4 AND the R8, so I wasn't going to replace the M4 with a V8 petrol.![]()

Isn't this true for all high powered RWD cars, I can't think of many that wouldn't spin if you applied more than 20% throttle as you enter a 90 degree corner - especially if the tyres aren't warm.when pulling out of a side road into traffic I could never fully be sure the traction control wouldn't be triggered thus cutting power.

Does the Competition enable better throttle modulation? Regarding the rear, BMW sometimes make the rear noticeably former than the front. Some resolve this by getting slightly softer springs for the rear.The thing about the M4 is that it's very hard to modulate. The power delivery is not progressive, and it seems to go from 10% to 90% instantly, irrespective of the throttle settings of "efficient", "Sport" or "Sport plus".
