Brooklands Bentley drops new Brooklands coupe in Geneva

Bentley has revealed an all new model in the form of the Brooklands coupe at the Geneva Motor Show, and the industrious guys over at Autoblog managed to get their hands on the first images of it. Described as a “grand touring coupe with classic British proportions,” the new 2+2 coupe gets its name from the Brooklands circuit in Surrey, where Bentley used to race back in the 1920’s.

The mega-coupe is powered by Bentley’s all-aluminum 6.75L turbocharged V8 developing 500hp and 775 ft-lbs of torque. Only 505 models are planned for production, with the first deliveries scheduled to start in the first half of next year. The Brooklands features a pillar-less profile, 20inch alloys with a mirror finish and acres of rear-legroom in the back.

I'm not sure I like it or not. It just looks funny seeing the front of the Arnage combined with low-slug roof and no rear doors! The rear window is funny looking too. The C-pillar looks kinda heavy handed in its design. Gotta ponder this one for a while.......

Gotta see how Rolls' new Coupe is going to turn out. Bentley are Rolls are just leaving Maybach further and further behind with their ever expanding lineups.

Well, it came out just like it should. The design was classic & predictable and even it's a new car it doesn't look like one. Just like the Arnage, I love it!

Yeah I think that is what I was trying to say in my earlier post. The Arnage front (old) and the rear end/2-door design (new). Still though I'd take it over the Conti GT.
