Wow, sure looks good. VW may have made some mistakes in recent years but this does not look like one of them.

About the on-board computer, from what I know it is totally detached from Audi's MMI. It is a completely different setup based on 'buttons to reach the screen', rather than from a single knob. This is the exact same system used in the Flying Spur and also the Phaeton, even the font, colours and software are identical.

You are right. It's the same interface Phaeton is using and not Audi's MMI. I had noticed that mistake too.
