Nice performance figures for the Gallardo SL, although while it proves to be faster than the standard Gallardo (average figures), it "only" matches the F430. It's not exactly faster..

Eitherway, I want one

Think the GT3 held up well despite being 100hp down. Wonder how the GT2 would compare.

The Superleggera was launched here in Singapore recently and the price premium is really quite ludicrous. :t-banghea I'll take a F430 over a Gallardo SL anyday. But for a stock Gallardo, now that's a different story. :D

weights?

someone on lambopower says that the Gallardo was weighed ("as tested") to 1365 kg. I dont know if that was a typo on his part (because 1465 makes a lot more sense).

any one have any scans?

Having owned a regular Gallardo and driven a 997 GT3 RS, I would take the RS. I sold my Gallardo to get a RS. I have said it before but I prefer my 996 GT3 over the Gallardo. There was nothing wrong with the Gallardo, but I prefered the handling of the GT3 and around town it was faster than the Gallardo. The Gallardo did have amazing brakes however.

The Lambo could have been lighter had it dumped the AWD sytem and chose ground effects and active supension for grip/traction.

oddly enough another Gallardo owner I know says that the Gallardo's lowest point is the brakes when compared to Porsches'. other than that its right up there.

have you driven a 06/SE or an SL?

Julius, 100 mph is about 160 km/h. ;)

D***:t-banghea I'm reading to fast.. Sorry, wouldn't happen again.

dont worry, I know. I was talking about mph. original Murcielago did 0-100 mph in 8.2 (Quattroruote), 8.4 (MT) and 8.8 (sportauto).

LP640 does it in the low-mid 7s.

I'm sorry guys, my big mistake :eusa_doh: :t-crazy2:
I will never question your knowledge again, Lambornima.
You know youre stuff very well..
:eusa_clap

you shall pay dearly!!!

lol j/k

does anyone have confirmation of the weights? on lpower someone said the Gallardo was listed as 1365 kg which is 500 lbs lighter than the stardard G. kinda hard to beleive.

The Gallardo SE was a bit of a joke if i remember right-I think sport auto tested it slower on hockenheim than the regualr Gallardo.

As for the Superlaggera vs. 997 GT3 RS-i'd probably go with the 997-but i wouldnt get the RS, i'd stick with the regular GT3. But if i was like Drron, doing track days all the time then I would probably get the RS. But because Im stuck to street dramatics, I wouldnt bother with all of that weight saving material.

That can't be right.. :eusa_thin

Sport Auto's recorded the 997 GT3RS with a kerbweight of 1424kg (including a 68kg driver, ceramic discs and a full tank of gas). Perhaps those particular figures are not including a full tank of gas.

Also - I don't believe the Gallardo SL would be so light fully loaded.

I'll wait for Sport Auto's weight figures :usa7uh:
