The Prius got higher marks for environment (as expected), but the BMW 118d wasn't so far off in terms of emissions (even though we're comparing diesel to gasoline here). Modern catalytic converters, particulate filters and even engine design (combustion process etc.) all help keep emissions low, even on a diesel like the 118d.

Give me the 118d anyday.

Toyota Prius comes most likely to use in cities with heavy congestion like in to and from LA, when you end up cruising at very low speed during rush hour. Meaning that the car will run a great amount on its electric engine.

Interesting comparison, but I'd get the 118d anyday, it's more of a normal car, has much better performance and you get a BMW!:D
