I take the C30 T5. The look is fresh and with a larger engine. A3 isnt my favorite Audi either so C30 for me.
BTW I heard every C30 in UK has been sold out. This baby Volvo will be a succees. I wonder if it will come to the States
Also the C30 recently got a design award for the best rear. Personally I have to get used to the rear before liking it completly.

I don't like that Volvo , it looks cheap and it doesn't drive well (according to the article) , i would rather take A3 or even 1 series.

I doubt that very much, its a brand new car with latest stuff to improve handling and such. I cant see the car to not drive well, even a S40 drive well. S40 has a very competent chassi but boring steering feedback but a bad drive, No Way! C30 is a newer car than S40 and it cant be worse.
Nope, I wait for more detailed reviews before I bash the car.

S40 drives well but not as a 3 series or A4. According to the magazine articles here in Greece it also drives worse than VW Jetta.

Thanks for the comparsion Yannis.

I've just been looking through the pictures, and there is something i dislike about the C30. The rear profile is strange in my opinion.

Even with styling aside the Audi is my choice.

Agreed, plus you add that build quality and it should be an easy choice for me. However, the price difference might be a factor?

If you think that i don't like Volvo you are wrong. XC90 is a great car and i also like new S80 and probably V70. S40 could had been better if it didn't use the Ford Focus platform which is a compromise even when compared to VW Golf/Audi A3 platform.

Yes but i also like E92 and E93 (for example) so my taste is not that weird, right?

Back on topic, me, as a Volvo owner and BMW fan, i would take an A3 over the C30 anyday for one reason.
I don't like the exterior of the C30. Even if all the other things are great, i still don't like the car.
As for the engine i don't know. I'll wait for more tests. But it has a wonderfull interior. Very fresh and elegant. Not like the A3. And i don't want anyone to complain about the plastics quality. I can swear to god that my S60 has better plastics than any A4, 3er or C-Klasse!
