IMO it IS better looking than the sedan. The proportions of the sedan are great, but the continuing drooping roofline of the wagon and the widened rear-end look ab-so-loooot-leee perfect!
If I was in the market for cars in this price range, I'd get the wagon even if I had no need for the extra space in the back.

They both look good for what they are. I still prefer an SUV over a wagon though. Something about it just screams 90's soccer mom.

The 5er wagon doesn't look as good as the 5er sedan. Then again I've never been a fan of BMW wagons. I always thought Audi and MB wagons looked better due to a more flowing design.
I do find the E-Class sedan more attractive than the wagon. But with the proper rims and color the E-Class wagon can look pretty cool.

Anyone else feel that the E wagon's rear lights are way too big? That's my only complaint about the car.
The 5er wagon is my dream car at the moment - I'm a little weird, I know. But seriously, it's beautiful. I really hope they bring it to the US at some point. So I can one day buy a used one

They are to big - especially in real life and even more on photos and pictures. Well, the whole package looks good with AMG sport parts (+ angular exhausts)! But I also have some problems with the 5-series rears and the position of the spotlights (cat eyes) - hope you know what I mean
! Nevertheless that is criticism on an extremely high level….

Yes, I think so too. I see ther car almost every day in real life by now, and the size of the backlights is pretty much my only complaint. They really are disproportional to the rest of the car. Slightly too big.
Still a beautiful wagon though, don't get me wrong. The 5er is just slightly prettier imo.

Better looking than the sedan..thought so when launched and now I am certain - FINAL VERDICT! 
May I share my 'dreamers vision'?....Listen BMW! Next X5...this 5er wagon is a good starting point!PS: E-Wagon, looks like an E-class Estate should look. Typical M-B with a strong face and classy.
