Hot! Audi: What's Next?

Interesting that Audi is still continuing with this V6 Diesel. It should have started off with better outputs as the BMW and Mercedes units beat this Audi engine for power and torque.
Perhaps they will have a more powerful "55" rated TDI because this one is just a replacement to the outgoing "50" which made 282hp previously

LMAO

IDK, i had gotten used to it!

I still find it ridiculous that the Euro-market S6 was literally just an A6 55 TDI Competition

Indeed (y)

I found it always funny reading 40TFSI on a little A1, a friend of mine asked me once how did they fit a 4L V8 engine in this eco car.
I told him it’s only a 2L with a stupid name.

Funny enough the trim codes are still used internally on dealer sales and serviced side. Just not customer-facing

Interesting (y)

They deserved the Nobel prize for the most stupid naming in the car industry.

BMW and Mercedes Benz are using numbers which reflect the power of the past models.

With the rumours regarding Audi AG having scrapped (or not having scrapped) RS6 etron plans frequently appearing in the automotive media, I really have no clue. But IMHO, the visual modifications on the car in the video seem to really work. The widened track and subtlely blistered, more upwardly cut wheelarches make the car appear sleeker, more athletic than the dumpy non-RS A6 etron.

And does this car feature an "ICE sound synthesizer" ? Is VAG attempting to spread the tech seen in the new Porsche Cayenne-E ?

It's a good decision to make a new diesel engine. Hybrids are useful in urban environments and at slow speed. However if you are driving 50-400 miles, mainly on motorways, diesels are best. Effortless and fuel efficient.
No.
I do NOT need 40kWh for 100km.

Stimme is always a good source of reliable information regarding Audi AG and its products. It is the prominent Neckarsulm/Neckar Valley daily newspaper. Audi AG is that particular regions largest employer.

Also interesting about the concept is that it appears to be precursing Audi's upcoming Radical Next design paradigm. Quite like the recent Concept C.

Fascinating:

The Chinese AUDI costs from 28k in China (like 40k fully specced out with electric doors and the whole 9 yards). Comparable to an S6 Avant which costs 100k in Germany.

The 60k in the title is the price in Germany after going through the whole importing process.
I personally find it offensive looking inside out, but it's geared towards Asians of course, and the craftsmanship and quality is immaculate and on par with German made stuff (for 1/3 the price).

An informative video that highlights the significance of the Concept C and the future design paradigm of the Audi brand.

IMHO, it will be of utmost importance for Audi AG and it's design teams to closely adhere to visuals that this car presents. It's direct German competitors are not sleeping. And IMHO, of those, BMW now poses the biggest threat. Not to mention what the Chinese have and will continue to bring to the table.

for now, i think Audi exterior design has ICE designer team completely different from the EV
I like the ice new PPC, above bmw and merc, but the EV are on the bottom after ix3 or GLC or even some lexus models
I hope there will be a new A8 since the Audi A1 and Q2 will be removed from what i heard

Yes, I would agree that the PPC C9 A6 and B10 A5 are handsome cars. Easy on the eyes albeit not exciting per se. Much prefer their their looks to those of the A6 etrons.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
