Audi Sportback Concept

Come on you've got to be kidding, that Audi concept's interior looks absolutely nothing like a BMW 3-Series interior. There isn't a single similarity there.

The double wood treatment on the Audi's doors alone blows 99 percent of production car interiors out of the water.

Between the 1er and the concept there are similarities. Look at the area around the knobs on the center console, very primitive appearance expected in a entry level car but not in a four door coupe concept. Yes the yatch-deck wood and two tone leather is sexy but hey what interior doesn't look good in custom upholstery. If the production car has the exact same layout I'll be very disappointed, I can already picture what a production version of that interior can look like.

I like the interior its nice not bad but not very exciting.I dont like the wood colour.
The rear seats are great and a huge boot..

the exteriror is not too good i dont like when you see the side the rear cuts back it seems odd to me

The rear looks good when you see it only from the back..

Overall audi could have done much better if they dont improve they going to get further behind mb and bmw..

I don't see any of that. All interiors have some basic similarities because of various, basic functions, but I think you're reaching here, being overly critical because its an Audi. The exterior might not be much, but that interior is stunning beyond 99 percent of anything in production right now IMO.

The car is just wonderful up to C-pillar or the end of the back door.
After that probably the designers got tired and gave the boot design to an amature

First of all, the interior looks absolutely nothing like BMW.

I was surprised by the BMW comparison too. The only thing that slightly reminds me of BMW is partly the design of the center console. Usually the part with the A/C controls and radio/DVD buttons is fully black (black background surface with black buttons) in BMWs and the shape of this part narrows down-towards so it's wider on the upper part. I'll try to demonstrate it with pictures.

Good God bmer I'm sure you could find a hundred other cars using the same design characteristic you just described. It's hardly something BMW has come up with on their own or has always used.

Sure, and if you read my post I only said "slightly".
Now that I look at Sunny's post, the new Z4 has much more in common with the Sportback Concept than the detail I was talking about.

Anyway to make it clear, I never said Audi is copying BMW or anybody with the Sportback Concept.

There's a slight similiraty between the 1er's central consol and the way it flows with rest of the dash and the same part of the A7.

You've just made it into a regular sedan! Kinda defeats the the whole Sportback name, doesn't it? I actually like the fastback profile and the liftgate.
