The S500 had to many problems, Maybe the S550 will fair better but only time will tell. All S8 for me V-10 Gallardo motor Wow!!!!! I will have the second year S8 after my A8L lease is up. Should have borrowed money from Vito!

I can't believe they had the 7ers engine as a negative, also I always thought its handleing was the best in class! To be far it is the oldest car in the comparison!

As expected the S class shines throughout. The only thing I have against the car is how much more expensive it is when compared to the competition, it doesn't seem possible, and if I was buying one of these cars, cost over 5 years would come into it, and here the S class would lose!

The A8 did alright, but didn't do well at anything! I think the interior is starting to look dated, which isn't a good sign. Out of all the interiors, IMO the 7er looked the nicest.

Interesting did you guys here that bit where they said the S class copied the 7er with the styling of the trunk. That's not the only place where that has happened!

To be fair its a brand new Car, just wait for next A8, it will give the S-class a hard time.
Personally I dont listen to others so S8 is my favorite, too bad it dont use the engine from S65

You know...I have the feeling the S-Class won't be the benchmark for too long. Audi, BMW (VW???) and even Lexus soon will come with guns blazing to take on the S-Class.

I doubt VW will be a problem, but I agree the other ones will be a problem!

Technology moves at such a huge rate these days, I don't think any car will be the benchmark for long, not like the E46 or W220!

BMW dude the S class holds it value so much more better than the 7er and A8..so you would loose about the same ammount of money..

lexus has allready tried and failed .. lets see what Audi and BMW does..
but remember we will never be able to say what car is best.. so for me personally to beat the S class you have to do it in sales..
so lets see what the others do BRING IT ON

you missunderstood me.. i didnt mean that they failed in making a better car..nobody knows if its better.. or can say when its tested that its better..

But in terms of design ( personally) and sales it has failed.. i dont see it stacking up more sales than the S..no way
