Where have I done that? I'm just dealing with you since I find you very funny in some way. ;)

Very interesting: you claim in your post S3 is more agile. Really? M135i is hitting the dealers in November, and info on S3 had just been released few days ago, and you are already able to tell S3 is more agile ... Wow! I guess you have driven both cars already. Wow! I so envy! :D

Tumbo, we all know you resent the 1er's styling, please stop trying to convey that to us. Now, if you've driven it, how about you offer us an opinion on how it drives ? Because for, lets just say, a driving enthusiast, that would be a major consideration.

^ Exactly ... test-drive reports from such a self-proclaimed driving enthusiast as Tumbo who have test-driven so many cars would be highly appreciated. Would you be so kind to share your test-driving experiences with all of us here?

Andreas (Just_me) tested 1er, A-class & A3, and he has posted a great review & pics. I would like to see your reviews too, Tumbo. :)

If that is your wish, I can do one or two. No problemo. Just today me and my buddy testdrove the Q3, Golf GTI 35, Qashqai and Sportage.

I for one would like to see a review A3 vs F20. Unbiased of course :D

If only we had more members like this on the forum...
Answer: YES
Why? Look below.
It's that simple.
I could NEVER drive something that looks like this. Never. I'm not hating on BMW. I love the M3, M5, M6, the new 3er, her... etc. They are beautiful cars.

Seriously now, you hate towards the F2x is all over place and it's honestly becoming too annoying. You don't like the car, I respect that. But you also have to accept that there are people who like it, and I find the fact that you quote a members post who has the same opinion as you, twice, saying that you wish the forum had more people like him, insulting.

You get annoyed when people post negative things in the Audi forum. Why, then, you do what you don't want other people to do? You need to respect other people's opinion, in my book.

Don't you think a true car enthusiast would choose an I6 with RWD over a I4 with AWD?

This statement is just as bad as Tumbo's, it's as if no enthusiast could possibly chose the S3 because of its drivetrain. Why not accept both are good but for slightly different reasons.

It is acually alot more simple Dr. Dunkel. Imagine the M135i with 1 Series Active Tourer design. That would be a hell hot looking sportshatch.

Too true, though personally I think no one does interior designs like Audi so I'd still want it to offered with the A3's interior.

Whatever you want Bob. But if you take a closer look at this thread, the S3 is loved either because of the 1er's front lights, or because of the 1er being a BMW. Not because of the AWD setup. It's getting ridiculous!

...or you vote for M135i becuase it got a BMW badge. It just disrespectful and people seem to forget that design is pure subjective. Members need to know their opinion isn't a universal fact, its just an opinion.
I bet there are many buyers of F20 who actually like the design and bought their car because its a good and nice car to own. Remember, most buyers do not hang around in internet forums and one more thing I would like to add, some members here behave childish.

Exactly. Mother trucker. Some people got to calm down here. We are all basing our choices off our opinion. No opinion is right or wrong - different strokes for different folks. It is entirely understandable for someone not to like the 1er's styling just as it is entirely understandable for someone not to like the S3.

Darn, I thought you're being serious for a second, but then I got the sarcasm.

Best regards,

Getting ridiculous. All I am saying is that it's your opinion that having a 6cyl RWD is better and I am sure many like and prefer AWD that still call themselves enthusiasts.

What are you trying to say Bob? You don't like the way I expressed myself? You disagree with my opinion?

If it's the first, go ahead and say it clearly. If it's the second, I guess we see things a bit differently. If I had the money to afford a Porsche, the Cayenne diesel would certainly not be my choise ;)

you would have needed to use me as example. Assuming a "true car enthusiast" means RWD, so me, yes I would pick an AWD I4 over the RWD I6. But Giannis answer was right also, if I prefer the S3, it is not for AWD or I4, but because of the F2X' "uglyness".

Finally this pole is as all the other, "my favorite brand against your favorite brand". Just that some from the BMW clan, like me, would go style over tradition, but only in this case.

A bit of both but mostly the way you suggested that enthusiasts wouldn't favour AWD or a smaller engine. There's no set rule for an car enthusiast preference as far as I'm aware.

Let me explain something to you, I think I have mentioned often enough my son's disability so whilst I wouldn't chose a Cayenne as my idea car either it suits my family's needs better than a sportscar or coupe and in my opinion the Cayenne was the best alternative at the time and my choice of diesel was purely protecting my residuals.

So you see there's reasoning behind the madness.

It's those words "true car enthusiast" which I have a real problem with, I class myself as a car enthusiast but I've driven enough cars to know there's no single formate there fulfills these needs because quite a few fulfills it depending on your own requirements. Your preferring the S3 over the M135i shows I'm right because no matter how much you openly amdit you prefer RWD you don't feel it's superior enough to overcome the looks of the 1er.

No vote should be based on brand preference but on the merits of the individual product, that's how I always base my votes.

Sure, there no set rule. Also, the fact that let's say gas engines are considered more sporty than diesel powered ones, is just mythology. Sarcasm aside, I can be wrong on that. So I'm not going to insist on that one.

But, you have to keep in mind that it's just a Haldex system we are talking about. If it had the torsen system of its bigger brothers, the S3 could be very well a hell of a drive, but Haldex's capabilities, are just limited.
